국문 초록

21세기 들어 용도 폐기된 유휴공간을 복합문화공간으로 활용하는 형태가 부각되면서 유산적 가치가 큰 복합문화공간이 많이 생겨났다. 그러나 복합문화공간에서 ‘복합’이란 단어와는 다르게 여러 장르의 예술이 융합되어 공연 및 전시되고 있지 않고 있다. 복합적인 공연이 아닌 한 공간에 공간을 분리하여 예술이 각각 전시 및 공연되고 있다. 본 논문은 유휴공간을 활용한 복합문화공간의 국내외 사례를 비교하여 해외 복합문화공간과 국내 복합문화공간의 차이점을 분석하였다. 가장 큰 차이점으로 여러 예술장르가 같은 공간에서 이루어지지 않는다는 점과 문화의 공익적 측면이 해외의 사례보다 미미하다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 국내 또한 유산적 가치가 큰 복합문화공간이 많이 생겨났다. 그러나 예술가들 간 소통의 기회나 일반 대중들이 여러 예술을 향유할 수 있는 기회가 많지 않았다. 창작자 간 소통을 통해 교류할 수 있도록 그 공간을 만들고 예술가들이 협업할 수 있도록 ‘협업공모전’을 제안 하였다. 결론으로 해외의 복합문화공간과 우리나라 복합문화공간의 다름을 바탕으로 창작자 간 네트워크를 할 수 있는 구조를 만들고 복합문화공간에 예술가들을 유입시키는 것이 복합문화공간이 앞으로 더 발전되는 방향이라 사료된다.

영문 초록

In the 21st century, since the use of abandoned idle spaces as a complex cultural of spaces were magnified and complex cultural of spaces with high heritage values have been created a lot. However, unlike the term complex in the complex culture of spaces, the arts of various genres are not exhibited into collaborating performances and exhibitions. Apart from the complex performances, the space is divided into one space of performance and arts are exhibited separately. In this research, we analyzed the domestic and overseas examples of difference between the complex culture of spaces in Korea and the complex cultural of spaces from overseas. The biggest difference is that many art genres are not made at the same space and the public interest aspect of culture is less than that of foreign countries. In Korea, there are many complex cultural spaces with high heritage value. However, there was not much opportunity for communication among artists or for the general public to enjoy various arts. We proposed a Collaborative Competition so that artists can collaborate each other and create the space. In conclusion, in the base of difference between the complex culture of spaces from overseas and domestic, to create a function of network among artists and to bring artists into complex culture of spaces will be the direction of development for the future.
