국문 초록

이 연구는 한국춤과 ICT기술의 융ㆍ복합 접목 사례를 기반으로 한류브랜드로서의 한국춤의 산업콘텐츠적 가치를 점검하는데 의의를 두었다. 관객의 흥미를 촉진하는 한국춤 공연콘텐츠 제작에 기여할 수 있는 새로운 연구 방향을 제시하고, 미래의 한국춤 기술산업화에 단계적 발전을 도모하려는데 목적을 두었다. 한국춤의 스토리텔링 현황과 비전을 점검하고, ICT기술인 3D입체영상(3D Stereoscopic) 을 활용한 한국춤 접근 양상을 살피게 될 것이다. 프로젝션 맵핑(Projection Mapping), 미디어 파사드(Medea Facade), 홀로그램(Hologram)이 접목된 한국춤의 이미지 고급화(Designomics)의 현장을 점검하였다. 일반관객의 한국춤에 대한 보편적인 인식을 보다 세련되고 감각적이며, 입체화된 ICT기술을 접목하여 한국춤 산업의 경제적 고부가가치를 확산시키고 있는 오늘의 현장의 사례들을 점검하였다. 다양한 한국춤공연 현장에서 ICT기술과의 융합 사례들이 진행되고 있는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이에 한국춤이 타 산업과 융ㆍ복합을 통하여 새로운 개념의 한국춤 공연 예술콘텐츠로 개발, 저변확대하고, 한국춤 산업 종사자들의 취업 창출에도 기여할 수 있는 ‘기술 한국’의 미래형 비전을 제언하려는 논문이다.

영문 초록

This study examines the cases of combining Korean dance with information and communications technology (ICT) and understands the value of Korean dance in contents industry as a representative brand of Korean wave. The purpose of this study is to suggest new research direction for creating contents of Korean dance performance that can draw interest from the audience. The study also aims to promote phase-by-phase development of technological industrialization of Korean dance in the future. This paper investigates the current situation of storytelling and vision in Korean dance and examines the recent approach to the Korean dance that uses the ICT of three-dimensional stereoscopic images. Specifically, this study focuses on the designomics of Korean dance, which refers to the way of sophisticating the image of Korean dance, and examines the cases of incorporating projection mapping, media façade, and hologram to the Korean dance. Incorporation of ICT was making the general perception on the Korean dance by the audience more sophisticated and sensuous. The combination with ICT also made the Korean dance industry more high value-added in economic perspective. It was confirmed that convergence with ICT was in active progress on a variety of performance stages of Korean dance. Integration between Korean dance and other industries is expected to expand the base of Korean dance and ignite a new conceptual development of Korean dance as performing art contents, which will also contribute to the job creation in the relevant industry. This study suggests future vision of Korean dance in technology powerhouse Korea.
