국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 초기 청소년의 스마트폰 사용 목적에 따라 집단을 유형화하고, 각 집단이 어떤 특성에 의해 영향을 받았으며, 긍정적 또는 부정적 결과가 어떻게 다른지 차이를 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 2017년 스마트폰 과의존 실태조사에 응답한 만 10세부터 12세까지의 1,280명을 대상으로 잠재프로파일 분석을 실시하였다. 잠재프로파일의 원인으로는 인구통계학적 변인들을, 결과로는 스마트폰의 순기능과 과의존 각각 3가지 변수를 설정하여 분석하였다. 분석결과, 총 4개의 잠재프로파일(여가 집단, 생활관리 집단, 저사용 집단, 거래 집단)이 분류되었으며, 인구통계학적 변인 중 성별, 가계소득, 부모의 맞벌이 여부가 유의한 예측요인으로 나타났다. 집단별 차이검증 결과, 스마트폰의 긍정적 영향 중 지식역량과 사회공헌이, 부정적 영향 중에는 조절실패와 현저성이 유의하게 나타났다. 연구 결과를 통해 현상을 파악할 수 있었으며, 게임 중독 예방 교육, 중독 예방 교육, 금융 교육, 독서 교육 등 다양한 측면에서 교육적 시사점을 도출하였다.

영문 초록

The purposes of this study are to classify groups according to the purpose of smartphone usage in early adolescents, to test the influences of predictors, and to test the difference in positive and negative results among groups. To do this, this study utilized data from the survey on smartphone overdependence, containing data from 1,280 adolescents aged 10 to 12. As a result of the latent profile analysis, four latent profiles(leisure group, life management group, low use group, and transaction group) were identified and the demographic characteristics such as gender, household income, a dual-income family were significant as predictors. As a result of group differences, knowledge capability and social contribution were positive influences of smartphone, and control failure and salience were significant among negative influences. The results of this study were able to understand the phenomenon, and educational implications were derived from various aspects such as game addiction prevention education, addiction prevention education, financial education, and reading education.
