국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 코르도바 ‘라 메스키타’(la Mezquita) 건축의 시대적 의의를 고찰하고 이에 관한 비교종교학적 가치를 논의하여 이들을 기반으로 ‘라 메스키타’ 건축에 대하여 역사적으로 재해석하는 것이다. ‘라 메스키타’에 대한 기존의 관점은 후기 우마이야왕조 이슬람사원으로서의 시각이 대부분이었으나 본 연구에서는 특정 종교의 범주를 넘어서 문명연구의 역사적 측면에서 새롭게 해석하고자 했다. ‘라 메스키타’ 건축에 관한 재해석은 현 사회에 투영되어 비로소 그 모습을 드러낼 수 있다. 따라서 당시의 제 종교정책 등에 관한 논의를 통하여 시도한 ‘라 메스키타’ 건축의 역사적 재해석은 현대사회에서의 종교의 대립과 화합에 관한 시사점들을 제공하여 줄 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to reinterpret la Mezquita architecture in córdoba by considering the value of comparative religion about la Mezquita architecture based on religion policy of umayyad dynasty in córdoba. This historic reinterpretation is included to analysis of historic significance about conflict & reconciliation with other religions after CE 711. There are two perspective about la Mezquita in córdoba. The first perspective is the perspective of a prevalent mosque throughout the umayyad dynasty in córdoba. In other words, this is one of the many mosques in europe. The second perspective is the perspective of the way to pursue religious values in the domain of ultimate principle at the early Middle Ages. Because at that ages, God was the ultimate ground of all reality. The logical basises of this second perspective can be summarized as follows. First, Abd al-Rahman the First pursued fair society with la Mezquita architecture because at that time direction of his government was aimed for fair and square society. Second, another alternative of Abd al-Rahman the First was la Mezquita architecture for the accomplishment social integration´s purpose. Third, Abd al-Rahman the First intended to impress on the kafir the reality of appropriateness with fair process & procedure of la Mezquita architecture. Modern society is a pluralistic society in terms of both religious and cultural aspects, so redefining of the cognition about these belief systems & value systems is inevitable. Therefore in this regard, this study will be able to provide the clue for redefining of the cognition, and plural implications about conflict & reconciliation of religions at modern society.(Hankuk University of Foreign Studies)
