영문 초록

The use of new fibers for healthcare textiles application has increased rapidly over the past quarter of a century. According to these results, fiber technology for medical application has been developed recently. Especially, wound dressing for the medical application depends mainly on proper dressing materials such as alginate which has gel swelling property and biocompatibility. The objective of this study is to develop manufacturing condition for the production of high G-type calcium alginate fiber by wet spinning and to explore the effect of additive as NaCl, Na2SO4, HCl/Na2SO4 for the improved absorption capacity because the absorbency and swelling ratios were strongly affected by the guluronate and mannuronate contents of the alginate, the calcium and sodium contents of the alginate fibers.
