초등학교 지적장애 학생의 사회적 상호작용을 위한 교육연극 프로그램의 효과

국문 초록

교육연극은 교육을 목적으로 연극을 활용하는 교육 활동 및 방법을 의미한다. 본 연구는 교육연극 프로그램이 초등 지적장애 학생의 사회적 상호작용에 미치는 효과를 알아보는데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위하여 충북에 위치한 3개 초등학교 특수학급 지적장애학생 16명(각 학교 별 5명, 7명, 4명)을 대상으로 하였다. 먼저 대상자 집단 간(세 학교 간) 중다 간헐 기초선 설계를 사용하여 집단 간의 중재 효과를 살펴보고, 이어서 개별학생에 대한 효과를 알아보기 위하여 개별 대상자 간 중다 간헐 기초선 설계를 사용하여 각 대상학생에 대한 중재프로그램의 효과도 살펴보았다. 중재효과의 일반화는 기초선, 중재, 유지단계에 따라 측정하였다. 중재는 교육연극 프로그램으로 내용타당도를 검증 받았으며, 총 14회기로 구성되어 일주일에 1～2회기 씩 한 회기에 80분 동안 실시되었다. 연구 결과를 보면 교육연극 프로그램을 실시한 후에 대상학생들은 사회적 시작행동, 사회적 반응행동, 사회적 상호작용의 발생과 그 유지, 일반화에 긍정적인 효과를 보였으며, 개별학생의 사회적 시작행동과 사회적 반응행동의 발생과 유지, 일반화에도 긍정적인 효과를 보였다.

영문 초록

Educational drama usually means the educational activities and methods that use drama for the purpose of education. This study investigated the effects of an educational drama program on the social interactions of elementary students with intellectual disabilities in special education classes. The participants in this study were 16 elementary school students in special education classes in three elementary schools located in Chungbuck Province. The study consisted of intervention settings and general settings and used a multiple-baseline experimental design across the three groups of participants. The experimental phases were set up as baseline, intervention, and maintenance; in each stage generalization observations were also conducted. The intervention through the educational drama program included a total of 14 sessions. Data was measured through recorded videos of the social interactions and presented in a graph that was used to analyze the changes in social interaction. The results were as follows: First, throughout the study, social initiation occurred and positive effects were seen during treatment sessions as well as maintenance sessions. Second, after conducting the educational drama program, social reaction was observed to occur among the subjects and positive effects were also seen during treatment and maintenance sessions. Third, there was a positive effect of the educational drama program to improve social interactions of the participants. Based on the results, this study suggests that educational drama programs may be meaningful and effective educational activities to increase social interaction skills of elementary students with intellectual disabilities in special education sites.
