한국판 지적장애인에 대한 다차원적 태도 척도(K-ATTID) 타당화

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 Morin, Crocker, Beaulieu-Bergeron 및 Caron(2013)이 캐나다에서 불어판 및영어판으로 개발한 지적장애인에 대한 다차원적 태도 척도(Attitudes Toward Intellectual Disability Questionnaire, ATTID)의 영어판 원척도를 국내에서 타당화하여 ‘한국판 지적장애인에 대한 다차원적 태도 척도’(Korean Version of Attitudes Toward Intellectual Disability Questionnaire, K-ATTID) 를 제공하는 것이다. 우선 예비조사를 실시하여 문항의 양호도를 확인하였고, 본 조사에서는 일반 인과 더불어 5가지 장애관련 전문직인 특수교사, 일반교사, 의사, 치료사 및 사회복지사로 구성된 장애관련전문가 총 722명을 표집하여 척도의 타당도와 신뢰도를 검증하였다. 탐색적 요인분석 결과, 원척도로 부터 ‘인지적 태도’, ‘정의적 태도’, ‘행동적 태도’ 라는 3가지 하위 요인의 36개 문항이 추출되었고, 확인적 요인분석 결과, 척도의 모형 적합도는 수용할만한 수준으로 나타났으며, 전체 척도의 신뢰도는 .928로 높은 신뢰도를 보였다. 한국판 지적장애인에 대한 다차원적 태도 척도 (K-ATTID)를 타당화함으로써 지적장애인에 대한 일반인과 장애관련전문가의 태도를 다차원적으로 평가하고, 지적장애인에 대한 태도를 향상시키기 위한 다양한 중재를 개발하는 후속연구들을 활성화할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다. 본 연구는 국내 장애 및 특수교육 분야에서 현재까지 빈번히 사용되는 장애인에 대한 태도 척도가 대략 30-60년 전에 개발된 아주 오래된 것으로 진전된 장애인 식과 태도를 반영하지 못하는 점과 특별히 ‘지적장애인’에 초점을 둔 태도 척도가 부재한 상황에서 지적장애인을 포함하는 발달장애인에 대한 ‘다차원적 태도’를 측정할 수 있고, 지적장애의 중도 및경도 기능 수준에 따른 태도 차이를 측정할 수 있는 새로운 척도를 국내에서 타당화하여 제공하는 것에 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to test the validity and reliability of the Korean Version of the Attitudes Toward Intellectual Disability Questionnaire (K-ATTID) with Korean disability-related professionals and lay people. The Attitudes Toward Intellectual Disability Questionnaire (ATTID) was developed by Morin, Crocker, Beaulieu-Bergeron, and Caron (2013) to measure the multidimensional attitudes towards persons with intellectual disabilities. First, a preliminary inventory with 67 items was made through a translation (English to Korean) and a back-translation procedure prior to data collection. In the preliminary study, item analysis and content validity were conducted with data from 50 lay people and professionals living in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. Second, in order to identify a factor structure of the final inventory, this study collected data from 722 professionals and lay people living in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province, and examined a construct validity through the confirmatory factor analysis. Thirty-one items were discarded because there was a problem in reliability and factor loading. Three factors, cognitive attitude, affective attitude, and behavioral attitude were extracted from the items; this was a different finding from the original scale with five factors. With a sample of 722, the results of the confirmatory factor analysis confirmed that the three-factor model was fit for the data with 36 items. Contrary to the original questionnaire, the higher the score on the items and factors, the more positive was the attitude toward persons with intellectual disability. The internal consistency of the questionnaire is 0.928. This study’s attempt to validate the ATTID is significant in terms of presenting a first reliable instrument (K-ATTID) to measure multidimensional attitudes toward individuals with intellectual disabilities in South Korea. The use of the K-ATTID by lay people, professionals, and para-professionals can promote the importance of positive attitudes toward individuals with intellectual disabilities.
