직장인의 미투운동 인식에 대한 탐색적 연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 최근 이슈가 된 미투운동에 대한 직장인의 인식을 탐색적으로 확인하고자 하였다. 특히, 미투운동의 해석 관점으로 젠더적 측면과 권력적 측면을 고려하였다. 이를 위해 서울 소재 D대학의 재직자전형 입학 재학생을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 미투운동 인식은 언론보도 내용이나 선행연구를 바탕으로 추출된 문항으로, 이를 개인-조직-사회적 차원의 인식으로 구분하여 검토하였다. 미투운동에 대한 인식은 개인적 차원에서 대부분의 직장인들이 반성적 태도를 보였으며, 이성과의 업무나 회식자리에 대해서는 불편하지 않다고 답했다. 조직적 차원에서는 조직 내 변화가 크게 없다고 답한 응답자가 많았으나, 사회적 차원으로 대부분의 직장인들이 미투운동 이후 사회 내 변화를 긍정적으로 인식하고 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 특히, 이 연구에서는 미투운동 인식과 조직침묵, 권력거리, 성역할태도에 대한 성별 간의 차이를 검증하고, 각 변수들 간의 상관관계를 분석 하였다. 그 결과, 미투운동 인식 및 개인이 가지는 인식에서 성별 간 차이를 확인 하였다. 또, 관련 변수들 간의 상관관계에서는 개인적 차원에서 본 미투운동 인식과 주요 변수들 간에 상관관계가 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 비록 이 연구는 탐색 적 연구에 그치고 있지만 미투운동을 바라보는 관점에 대한 방향성을 제공할 수 있다는 점에서 그 의의가 있다고 하겠다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this research is to conduct an exploratory study to confirm the perception of workers about the recent issue, #MeToo movement. In addition, this paper tried to understand the issue in the point of gender and power in order to examine points of view of interpreting this movement. For this purpose, I conducted a survey of undergraduates admitted through the special admission program in D University, Seoul. The questionnaire related to the perception of #MeToo movement were composed on the basis of the media reports and articles, and the results of the factor analysis were used for the analysis of individual, organizational, and social dimensions. Based on this analysis, on the individual dimension, the frequency analysis of the questionnaire survey showed that most of the employees in the workplace showed a reflective attitude toward the issue and did not feel uncomfortable when working with the opposite sex or having company dinner. On the organizational level, many respondents answered that there was not much change in the organization. On the social level, it was confirmed that most of the workers recognized positive change in the society after #MeToo movement. In addition, we examined the actual state of sexual assault, and regarded the perception of #MeToo movement was related to the gender differences on individuals and various perceptions. Therefore, we examined the gender differences in #MeToo movement perception, organizational silence, power distance, and gender role attitude, and analyzed the correlations among the variables. As a result, gender differences were identified in perception of #MeToo movement and perception of individual. In addition, it was confirmed that there is a correlation between the individual perception on #MeToo movement and the main variables in the correlation among the related variables. Although this study is limited to exploratory research, it is meaningful in that it provides direction on the viewpoint of #MeToo Movement.
