청소년 자살생각의 영향요인에 관한 연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 취약성과 스트레스의 구조적 모델링을 바탕으로 청소년의 자살생각에 영향을 주는 원인들을 실증적으로 분석해내어 청소년들의 자살위험성을 예측할 수 있는 요인들을 찾아내고, 예방을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있는 근거를 마련하고자 하는데 연구 목적이 있다. 연구에 사용된 자료는 한국방정 환재단의 지원 하에 연세대학교 사회발전연구소가 2009년부터 매년 시행하는 연차적 조사인 ‘한국 아동ㆍ청소년 행복지수 조사’의 2015년 자료를 활용하였으며, 연구 목적에 적합하도록 초등학생을 제외한 중학생ㆍ고등학생을 대상으로 분석을 실시하였다. 연구 방법으로는 기술통계와 상관관계분석을 실시하였고, 조절변수의 상호작용효과를 확인하기 위하여 위계적 로지스틱 회귀분석을 사용하였다. 분석 결과, 자살생각에 직접적으로 영향을 미치는 인구사회학적 특성은 남학생보다는 여학생이, 그리고 연령이 낮을수록 자살생각을 할 확률이 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 독립변수 중에서는 스트레스 수준이 높고 비행행동이 많을수록, 사회적 지지가 낮을수록 자살생각에 정(+)적인 직접효과를 갖는 것으로 확인되었다. 취약성-스트레스 모형의 핵심인 취약성의 조절효과 역시 통계적으로 유의미한 영향력을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to research the direct influencing factors of juvenile suicidal ideation and the moderating effect of vulnerability in the causal relationship of juvenile suicidal ideation. The data used in the research are based on the 2015 data from the annual Survey of Korean Child and Adolescent Happiness Index, which is conducted annually since 2009 by the Institute for Social Development of Yonsei University under the support of the Korea Bang Jeong-hwan Foundation. The analysis was conducted for middle and high school students except elementary school students. As a research method, descriptive statistics and correlation analysis were conducted, and hierarchical logistic regression analysis was used to confirm the interaction effect of the moderate variables. According to the results of the analysis, the demographic characteristics directly affecting suicidal ideation were gender and age. The female students were more likely to think about suicide than the male students. Also, the lower the age, the higher the probability of thinking about suicide. Among the independent variables, it was found that the higher the level of stress, the more delinquency behavior, and the lower social support, the more positive direct effect on suicidal ideation. The moderating effect of vulnerability, which is the core of the vulnerability-stress model, also has a statistically significant impact on suicidal ideation.
