척약재 김구용 유배시에서 교유의 의미

국문 초록

본고에서는 고려시대 유배의 특징과 김구용 유배시의 의미에 대해 고찰 하였다. 고려시대에는 고향이나 외가 등으로 유배시키는 연고지 유배형이 있었고, 유배지에서 지방관의 각별한 대우를 받기도 하는 등 비교적 자유로운 교유를 할 수 있었다. 김구용은 명문가의 후손으로 일찍부터 과거에 급제하여 정몽주, 이숭인, 정도전, 이집 등 당대 관료들과 돈독한 유대를 갖고 있었다. 원말명초의 혼란한 국내외 정세에서 두 차례의 유배를 당하였으며, 첫 번째는 연고지인 여흥에 유배되었고, 두 번째는 중국의 운남에 유배되게 된다. 여흥유배시와 운남유배시는 유배환경의 차이로 전혀 다른 면모를 보여주었는데 본고에서는 이를 교유의 측면에서 고찰하였다. 여흥유배에서 김구용은 이숭인, 정몽주 등 의기투합하는 동료와의 교유를 통해 유배의 고통을 극복하였다면 운남유배에서는 중국의 역사적 인물들의 힘들었던 상황을 상기하고 자신의 고난이 이들과 다르지 않음을 확인함으로써 유배길의 고통을 견디었음을 확인할 수 있었다. 김구용은 유배의 고통을 지인과의 교유시 그리고 고인과의 교감을 통해 극복하였고 이는 고려시대 유배문학을 풍성 하게 하는데 기여하였다.

영문 초록

This paper presents an investigation into the characteristics of exile during Goryeo and the meanings of Kim Gu-yon s exile poems. In Goryeo, there was an exile sentence to the hometowns of the convicted such as their birth places and relatives homes on the mother s side. They were allowed to engage in relatively free social intercourses at the place of exile, being treated specially by local officials. Kim Gu-yong was a descendent of a prestigious family and passed the state exam at an early age, forming close relationships with government officials of his time including Jong Mong-ju, Lee Sung-in, Jong Do-jeon, and Lee Jip. In the middle of the chaotic situations home and abroad between the end of Yuan and the beginning of Ming, he was exiled twice: he was exiled to his hometown Yeoheung the first time and Yunnan, China the second time. His exile poems created in Yeoheung and Yunnan showed completely different aspects due to the differences between the two exile environments. The present study examined them in the aspect of social intercourse. During his exile in Yeoheung, Kim overcame the pain of exile by having a social intercourse with his peers of mutual understanding such as Lee Sung-in and Jeong Mong-ju. During his exile in Yunnan, he endured suffering along his exile path by recalling the difficult situation of historic figures in Chinese history and checking that his hardship was not different from theirs. Kim overcame the pain of exile by writing social intercourse poems with his acquaintances and the deceased, and his exile poems made a contribution to the enrichment of exile literature during Goryeo.
