전문대학생의 대학적응과 진로성숙도의 관계에서 적극적 대처전략의 매개효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 전문대학생의 대학적응과 진로성숙도의 관계에서 적극적 대처전략의 매개효과를 알아 보고자 한다. 연구대상은 부산광역시와 경상남도 각 1개 지역의 전문대학 남녀 학생 총 969명이다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 통계 프로그램을 사용하여 Pearson의 적률상관분석과 3단계 회귀분석을 적용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학적응과 진로성숙도, 대학적응과 적극적 대처, 진로성숙도와 적극적 대처, 적극적 대처와 소극적 대처 간에는 통계적으로 유의미한 정적상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 전문대학생들의 대학적응과 진로성숙도와의 관계에서 적극적 대처전략요인은 부분매개효과가 있음이 입증되었다. 즉 전문대학의 대학적응 능력이 높으면 적극적 대처전 략을 효과적으로 사용하여 진로성숙도가 높아진다. 이러한 결과를 근거로 전문대학생들의 대학적응능력과 진로성숙도를 높이기 위한 대처전략 향상 방안이 다각적으로 모색될 필요가 있음을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effect of active coping strategies on the relationship between college adjustment and career maturity of college students. The subjects were 969 male and female students of colleges in Busan Metropolitan City and Gyeongsangnam-do. SPSS program was used for the collected data and correlation analysis and 3 step regression analysis were applied. The results of this study were as follows. First, there was statistically significant statistical correlation between college adjustment and career maturity, college adjustment and active coping, career maturity and active coping, and active coping and passive coping. Second, in the relationship between college adjustment and career maturity of college students, the active coping strategy factor was proved to have partial mediation effect. In other words, higher college adjustment ability of college students would lead to higher career maturity based on effective use of active coping strategy. On the basis of those results, it is suggested that multifaceted measures would need to be explored to improve the coping strategies in order to help expand the college adjustment ability and career maturity in college students.
