이순신의 「난중일기」에 대하여

국문 초록

『난중일기』(nanjungilki)는 전란 중에 기술된 일기답게 전쟁을 동기로 유발되는 갖가지 삶의 편린들이 곳곳에 녹아있다. 공직자로서 민족과 국가의 장래를 근심하는 충의정신이 뚜렷하게 읽히는 한편, 한 인간으로서 가질 수 있는 보편적인 욕구와 감정이 그대로 드러나 있다. 이제까지 『난중일기』에 대한 많은 선행 연구가 있었지만, 『난중일기』의 板本과 矯監本, 번역본과 기타 대중적인 간행물 등에 대한 분석은 상대적으로 부족하다. 향후 적극적이고 체계적인 교감 작업은 반드시 필요한 과제라고 생각된다. 나아가 한문 해독 능력을 갖춘 다양한 분야의 연구자들이 참여하는 공동 작업을 통한 체계적인 번역과 일반인들이 쉽게 이해할 수 있는 대중화 작업, 이순신 관련 문화콘텐츠의 확산 방안도 요구되고 있다.

영문 초록

Nanjungilki, a diary written under war and battles, melted the indications of the various lives caused by war as a motive into itself. On the one side, the book showed the Admiral Yi Sun-shin’s loyalty to be concerned about the future of the people and the country as a government official, but on the other side of the coin, his wants and feelings were revealed in it as a normal person. Even though there have been many preceding studies until now, a comprehensive analysis of the first and revised printings, the translated editions, and other periodicals of Nanjungilki has been needed. It is thought that it is essential for us to work on the aggressive and systematic revision of the book. Furthermore, it is needed to provide the systematic translation which the researchers in several fields who have the required ability to decipher Chinese characters work on collaboratively, essential to popularize the book which the general public can understand easily, and required to diffuse the culture contents related with the Admiral Yi Sun-shin.
