국문 초록

2009 개정 교육과정에 따른 통합교과 교육과정은 2007 개정 교육과정의 그것에 비하여 적지 않은 차이를 나타내고 있다. 후자가 세 가지 통합교과의 차별성을 부각시키고 있다면, 전자는 그 사이의 차별성과 더불어 연계성을 강조하고 있을 뿐만 아니라 통합교과 운영의 자율성을 한층 더 강하게 표방하고 있다. 새로운 통합교과 교육과정의 이러한 방향은 세 가지 통합교과를 통일된 대주제와 소주제에 근거하여 연계시켜 놓은 동시에 그것에 관한 교수·학습 또한 연계성과 자율성에 입각하여 이루어지도록 요구하는 등 그 문서를 전체적으로 바꾸어 놓고 있다. 새로운 통합교과 교육과정의 이러한 새로운 방향은 종전까지 세 가지 별책으로 편찬되던 통합교과 교과용 도서를 한 권의 주제별 교과서 및 교사용 지도서의 편찬으로 이어질 예정에 있다. 이 과정에서는 교육과정과 교과용 도서 사이의 괴리가 나타날 수밖에 없겠지만, 탈학문적 접근이라는 통합교과 교육과정의 이념은 수시 개정 방침에 따라 그러한 괴리를 슬기롭게 극복하는 가운데 실현될 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explicate the nature of the integrated curriculum for elementary school of 2009 revised national curriculum. The new born integrated curriculum has various backgrounds: the guideline of ministry of education to curtail the contents about 20%, solving the problem which contents are piled one upon another, and responding to teacher’s request that integrated subjects have to be developed as one based on themes etc. The developers find the clue to solution to the backgrounds in developing the integrated curriculum which can lead people to compile integrated subjects as one based on themes of life. Therefore, the curriculum was developed as follows: 1. Three integrated subjects share 8 general big themes, and each theme has 4 small themes. 2. Each integrated subjects have 32 functional themes which are translation of small themes based on the different focus of the subjects. With these way, the new born integrated curriculum become to accentuate not only the difference of three integrated subjects but also the unity of ones. In addition to the opposite principles, the curriculum also suggests the autonomy of curriculum implementation. Trans-disciplinary approach as a idea of the curriculum is expected to realize with integrated textbooks which is compiled with the curriculum.
