국문 초록

전통시장은 대형유통업체의 골목상권 잠식으로 인하여 어려움을 겪고 있으며, 정부는 전통시장을 활성화하기 위하여 많은 노력을 기울이고 있다. 따라서 이러한 정부지원으로 인하여 전통시장의 성과가 향상에 대한 연구가 필요한 실정이며, 이에 본 연구에서는 전통시장의 효율성을 측정하고 상권크기, 상인회 운영여부, 정부지원사업 참여여부 등에 따라 집단을 구분하여 전통시장 효율성의 차이를 살펴보려 한다. 본 연구에서는 이를 위해 4개의 투입변수와 2개의 산출변수를 선정한 후 자료포락분석(DEA)을 이용하여 개별 전통시장의 효율성을 측정하였다. 또한 이렇게 산출된 전통시장의 효율성을 점수화하여 이를 종속변수로 한 후 각 집단별 평균차이 검증을 실시하였다. 더불어 전통시장 특성이 효율성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 파악하여 효과적인 전통시장 지원방안에 대한 아이디어를 제안하고자 한다. 연구결과, 전통시장 특성에 따라 효율성이 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 전통시장에 대한 정부지원정책이 전통시장 활성화에 효과적임을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The traditional market is slowly dying, the reason is that large retailers are encroaching on the market. The government is making a lot of effort to stimulate traditional markets. Therefore, it is necessary to look at whether the traditional market is improving due to such government support. We measure the efficiency of traditional markets, and then we divide groups into commercial size, merchant operation, participation of government support projects, et. al. Based on this, we examine the differences in effectiveness of each group. In this study, we executed the DEA(Data Envelopment Analysis) to analyze this. Specifically, four input variables and two output variables were selected and the efficiency of the traditional market was measured.. After scoring the efficiency of traditional markets, we investgated in the difference between each group. Based on these findings, we discuss the efficient approach to traditional markets. As a result, the impact of commercial size, merchant operation, hiring a manager, participation of government support projects on the efficiency of traditional markets has been significant. These findings mean that the direction of the government s traditional market support direction is effective, and this study discusses more effective support policy.
