국문 초록

≷표충사제영(表忠祠題詠)≸은 송운(松雲) 대사의 5대 법손인 남붕(南鵬)이 사명당 유정의 공훈을 선양하기 위해 1738년에 당대 관료와 지식인들에게 청하여 받은 시문을 모은 시첩과 그것을 토대로 간행한 목판본을 말한다. 이렇게 특정인을 위한 시집이 간행된 것은 우리 한문문학사에 있어서 유일하다. 수록된 시들 가운데는 차운한 시가 월등하게 많다. 원운(元韻)으로 사용된 시는 오언 율시의 경우 5편으로 이식(李植)과 이정구(李廷龜)･이수광(李睟光)이 동일하게 ‘師’운으로 지은 율시들이고, 칠언율시의 경우 조유수(趙裕壽)의 ‘溟’운, 이병연(李秉淵)의 ‘茫’운, 이천보(李天輔)의 ‘年’운으로 지은 시들이 해당된다. 오언율시를 지은 이들은 송운 대사 당시의 인물들이고, 칠언율시를 지은 이들은 남붕 대사 당시의 인물들이다. 차운한 시가운데는 대체로 오언시보다 칠언시 즉 당대 인물의 시에 차운한 경우가 많고, 칠언시 가운데는 조유수의 溟운에 차운한 시들이 가장 많다. ≷표충사제영≸ 시첩을 바탕으로 한 목판본이 여러 차례 발행되었는데 그러면서 조금씩 편차가 발생하였다. 발행양상을 보면, 1738년에 남붕의 스승인 연초(演初)가 발행한것을 시작으로 하여 1778년에 사명당의 9세손 의민(毅旻)이 추가로 보입하면서 발행한 경우가 대표적이고 이외에도 여러 차례 편집을 달리하면서 발행되었다. 여러 간행본들 가운데 1738년 간기를 지닌 ≷밀주표충사제영≸이 초기 형태를 지니고 있어 가장 앞서고 이후의 것들은 정확한 순서를 판별하기 어렵다. 가장 많은 분량을 갖고 있는 것은 1778 년 간기를 지닌 ≷표충사제영록≸이다.

영문 초록

Pyochungsa-jeyoung ( 表忠祠題詠 ) is the names of an album of poems and, at the same time, of the block books based on the album of poems, which were written in honor of Venerable Samyeongdang Songwoon ( 四溟堂 松雲 ). In 1738, Venerable Nam bung, the fifth-generation Dharma descendant of Samyeongdang Songwoon, asked the bureaucrats and intellectuals to write poems for Samyeongdang Songwoon to admire his great achievement. He collected these poems and printed them from wood blocks. It is unique in Korea literary history that an album of poems was made for a specific person. Most of the poems are written borrowing or using the same rhymes as in some other poems. The original poems of which rhymes were borrowed by others are only five by Lee Sik ( 李植 ), Lee Jeong-gu ( 李廷龜 ), and Lee Su-Gwang ( 李睟光 ) in the category of pentasyllabic octets ( 五言律詩 ), and three by Cho Yoo-soo ( 趙裕壽 ), Lee Byung-yeon ( 李秉淵 ), and Lee Cheon-bo ( 李天輔 ) in the category of heptasyllabic octets ( 七言律詩 ). Among those poems written in the borrowed rhyme, heptasyllabic octets poems outnumber pentasyllabic octets poems, and among heptasyllabic octets poems, those that used Cho Yoo-soo’s ‘ 溟 ’ are dominant in number. Pyochungsa-jeyoung wood blocks were made based on the album of poems Pyochungsa-jeyoung several times. In 1738 Yeoncho( 演初 ) printed them first and in 1778 Yimin( 毅旻 ) printed again with additional poems. Other than these, they were printed a few more times with different editing. Now, the extant Pyochungsajeyoung of various versions show different table of contents from each other. Among those versions, Milju-Pyochungsa-jeyoung( 密州表忠祠題詠 ) in 1738 is the first with primary form while the most voluminous edition is Pyochungsajeyoungrok ( 表忠祠題咏錄 ) in 1778. It is difficult to decide the order of publication of other versions.
