국문 초록

본고는 李箕元 문학연구의 방편으로 記文에 주목하였다. 기문에 주목한 이유는 이기원의 문학적 특징을 도출할 수 있을 뿐만이 아니라, 아울러 그의 생애에 대한 집약적 제시도 가능하기 때문이다. 특히 이기원은 기문을 기록전달의 측면으로 인식하였다. 또한 기문의 저술시기가 만년에 집중되어있다는 표면적 특징을 지니고 있다. 이러한 특징을 보다 면밀히 구명하기 위해 본론에서는 기문의 하위 장르와 청탁의 유무에 근거하여 建物所居記와 書畵器物記로 분류하였다. 먼저 건물소거기에서는 청탁자의 견해를 적극 반영하는 양상이었기에 외부와의 공감, 경우에 따라서는 외부와 동일시하는 감정이입의 영역에까지 이르렀다. 여기에서는 타인을 통해 자신을 재확인하는 양상이 두드러졌다. 때문에 彼를 위한 共感과 我를 위한 感情移入의 특징점이 확인되었다. 서화기물기에서는 자신과 관련된 것을 기록을 통해 보존하려 했고, 만년에 이러한 의식으로 경도되었다는 것을 확인하였다. 이는 不孝에 대한 負債意識과 자신의 삶에 대한 불안감에서 기인한 것이었다. 때문에 문학뿐만 아니라 서법과 화법에도 능하였던 이기원은 자신의 공간과 기물을 다양한 방법을 통해 기 록하였고, 이 기록을 保存 및 傳述하려는 의식이 두드러졌음을 살필 수 있었다. 이러한 의식의 기저에는 자기성찰적 태도가 자리하고 있음이 확인되었다.

영문 초록

This paper focused on his Kimun(記文) as a way of researching Lee Giwon’s literature. The reason for paying attention to his Kimun is that it makes possible not only to understand Lee Giwon s literary features, but also to provide an intensive presentation on his life. In particular, Lee Giwon recognized Kimun as a tool of transmitting records. There is also a feature that he wrote most of his Kimun writing in his later years. In order to investigate these characteristics more thoroughly, I classified them in the body as 建物所居記(records for residing at particular places) and 書畵器物記(records for paintings and objects) based on Kimun s sub–genres and whether there was a request or not. First, because there was an aspect that reflected requestors opinions in the 建物所居記, Lee Giwon reached to the level in which he had an empathy with their emotions and even equated himself with them. In those records, he noticeably re-understood himself through understanding others. For that reason, such characteristics as sympathy for others and empathy for himself were found. It was confirmed that he tried to preserve things relating to himself through the records in the 書畵器物記(records for paintings and objects), and that he devoted himself to those kinds of tasks in his later years. That attitude was caused by a feeling that he was not very filial to his parents and by his anxiety about life. Lee Giwon was good at not only writing but also calligraphy and painting, and recorded about his own places and objects in various ways. And as shown in his writings, he made efforts to preserve records and hand down them to posterity. Thus, it was demonstrated that an attitude of self– reflection was existed at the base of his consciousness.
