국문 초록

본 연구는 대학생의 취업스트레스가 자살생각에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 자기비난과 내면화된 수치심의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 대학생 338명으로부터 자료를 수집하였고, 수집된 자료는 구조방정식 모형을 이용하여 분석하였으며, 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학생의 취업스트레스가 높을수록 자기비난도 높게 나타났고, 내면화된 수치심도 높게 나타났다. 그리고 자기비난이 높을수록 내면화된 수치심도 높게 나타났고, 수치심이 높을수록 자살생각도 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 대학생의 취업스트레스가 높다고 해서 무조건 자살생각이 높아지는 것이 아니라, 취업스트레스가 내면화된 수치심으로 이어져, 내면화된 수치심이 높을수록 자살생각이 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 대학생의 취업스트레스와 자살생각의 관계를 자기비난과 내면화된 수치심이 이중매개하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해, 취업스트레스 그 자체가 자살생각을 예측하는 단일 변인으로 유의하지 않고, 자기비난과 내면화된 수치심이 연결통로가 된다는 것을 알 수 있다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의 및 제한점과 앞으로의 연구방향이 논의되었다.

영문 초록

The present study of confirm the mediating of self-criticism and internalized shame on the relationship between university students’ employment stress and suicide ideation. The data were collected from 338 university students, and were analyzed through structural equation modeling. The main research findings were as follow : First, when higher score on employment stress were associated with higher levels of self-criticism and higher levels of internalized shame were found. Study has shown that higher scores on self-criticism were associated with higher score on internalized shame. Moreover, higher scores on internalized shame were associated with higher levels of suicide ideation. Second, employment stress did not necessarily led to higher scores on suicide ideation. Rather, employment stress led to university students’ higher scores on internalized shame, which in turn predicted higher levels on suicide ideation. Third, employment stress had an effect on suicide ideation through the sequential double mediation of self-criticism and internalized shame. The result of the present study suggested that employment stress by itself was not significant predictor for suicide ideation, but that employment stress and internalized shame were linkage between them. The significance and limitations of the present study and directions for future research were also discussed.
