미술과 교육과정 재구성 경험에 대한 내러티브 탐구

국문 초록

본 연구는 미술 교과를 가르치는 초․중등 교사들의 교육과정 재구성 경험에 주목하고 이를 분석함으로써 교사의 수업 전문성 발전에 대한 시사점을 이끌어내기 위한 목적으로 이루어졌다. 교사의 경험을 심층적으로 이해하기 위한 연구 방법론으로 질적 연구 방법 중, 시간의 흐름 속에서 변해가는 경험의 의미를 추적하는데 용이한 클랜디닌과 코넬리(Clandinin & Connelly)의 내러티브 탐구방법을 사용하였다. 연구 결과, 미술 수업 전문성을 가진 네 명의 초․중등 교사들은 첫째, 수업 재구성 과정에서 겪게 되는 어려움을 이론과 타인과의 만남을 통해 극복하였으며, 둘째, 교육과정 재구성을 변화시켰을 뿐만 아니라, 학생 그리고 교사 자신을 변화시켰음을 알 수 있었으며 그 결과 셋째, 이러한 변화된 양상은 교사의 수업 전문성 향상으로 이루어졌음을 확인 할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to understand and analyze the experiences of art teachers who reconstruct art curriculum in order to make suggestions for teachers’. This study, based on the methodology of narrative inquiry by Clandinin and Connelly, was analyzed according to the framework of ‘the three-dimensional narrative inquiry spaces’. The results of this study are as follows. First, four art teachers with artistic teaching expertise overcome the difficulties they experienced while restructuring their lessons through the theories and the encounters with others. Second, it was revealed that they not only changed the curriculum reconstruction, but also changed the students and teachers themselves. As a result, it was confirmed that these changed aspects led to improvement of teacher s professionalism. By analyzing the experiences of teachers who reconstruct the arts curriculum, it can help to find ways to support teachers curriculum reconstruction experience at the personal and social level. Through the process of reconstructing the art curriculum and designing the lessons, it was found that the characteristics of the art curriculum are different from other curriculum.
