국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 섬의 중요성과 섬 관광 수요가 증가하고 있는 상황에서 바르트의 의미 생성모델과 그레마스 기호사각형 모델을 이용하여 여행관련 TV예능프로그램을 기호학적으로 분석하여 영상에 나타난 섬 관광의 의미작용과 함의를 규명하는 것이다. 분석결과, TV예능프로그램은 주로 감성적인 메시지를 통해 섬 관광의 의미를 함축적으로 담아내고 있었고 섬 관광의 신화적 의미는 ‘치유’이고 설득기제는 ‘섬다움’이었다. ‘원시의 자연성’을 수반한 섬에서의 다양한 경험을 통해 즐거움을 얻고 그 과정에서 자연에 순응하는 삶의 본질을 추구하게 된다는 의미를 함축하여 시청자들에게 긍정적인 인식을 심어주는 것으로 분석되었다. 향후 연구에서는 본 연구에서 제시된 모델 이외의 섬에 대한 재해석과 섬의 가치를 재발견하는 분석들이 이루어지기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

Under a background of emphasizing the importance of the Korean islands and the growth of tourist demand in the islands, the purpose of this study is to analyze semantically the travel program related TV programs using the Barthes signification model and the Greimas semiotic square model in the context of a Korean island. As a result, the given TV entertainment program were mainly expressing the meaning of island tourism through emotional messages. The mythical meaning of island tourism was healing and persuasion paradigm of island tourism was islandness . It has been analyzed that the sense of enjoyment is gained through diverse experiences on the island accompanied by islandness and implies the pursuit of the essence of life such as honesty and conformity of nature in the process. In future research, it anticipates that other research in the reinterpretation of islands and the rediscovery of island value will be performed, in addition to the model presented in this study.
