영문 초록

The previous studies on travel pattern of elderly population have not been conducted with classification of them by age group. In this study, we classified elderly population into three age groups to investigate the impact of the characteristics of destination districts of Seoul on non-commuting travel of elderly population by the age groups using multiple regression analysis. According to the result of the analysis, the impacts of the characteristics of destination were different for each elderly population group. Based on the finding, we reached the conclusion as follows: First, as a result, elderly population have different travel pattern by the age groups. Therefore, it is necessary for elderly population to provide convenience for their activities and suitable transport policies in terms of welfare, differently for each age group. Second, the non-commuting travel of elderly population is mainly affected by the land-use characteristics of destination. Furthermore, the travel pattern was different for each age group. Based on the result of the analysis local government should plan and manage the facilities and the services which are related to the activities of elderly population, especially, by age group.
