국문 초록

1960년대 전반 중국에서는 130만명의 도시 청년지식인의 상산하향운동이 전개되었다. 원인은 이들의 취업난과 진학난 그리고 노동계급과의 결합 등에서 찾을 수 있다. 그런데 이 시기 하향운동에는 ‘혈통론’이라는 이념적이고 정치적이며 극좌적인 경향이 개재되어 있었다. ‘혈통론’은 일반적으로 문혁과 함께 등장한 사회문제로 알려져 있지만 1960년대 하향운동에서 이미 맹위를 떨쳤다. ‘혈통론’은 개인의 의지와 능력과 무관하게 계급적 출신성분에 따라 그의 운명을 결정짓는 단순론이며 감정적 극좌론이었다. 이들 지청이 농촌 생활에 만족하지 못한 중요한 이유를 여기에서 찾을 수 있다. 더욱이 농촌의 열악한 환경과 노동조건은 이들의 회의감을 더욱 심하게 만들었다. 전체적으로 볼 때 지청의 농촌 생활은 힘들었고 그에 대한 보상은 충분치 않았으며 하향을 통한 신분 혈통의 세탁 가능성은 높지 않았다. 문혁은 이러한 지청의 불만을 증폭시켜 해결할 수 있게 하는 하나의 기폭제로 작용할 가능성이 높았다.

영문 초록

The Chinese authority started the movement of Up to the Mountains and Down to the Villages in the early 1960s against the 1.3 million urban students. We can find the causes of the movement in the unemployment crisis, the difficulty of the higher grade entrance and their combination with the labor classes. But a blood discourse (xuetonglun 血統論) was intervened in this movement. A blood discourse contained the ideological, political and ultra-left tendencies. Though it was said that this discourse appeared along with the Cultural Revolution(文化大革命), but it was rampant in the movement of up to the mountains and down to the villages in the early 1960s. We can find the one of the reasons why the down-expelled intellectual youth (zhiqing 知靑) had dissatisfaction with this movement in this process of the practice of a blood discourse . Moreover the impoverished conditions of the rural communities and the pain of the physical labor let to their skeptical in regard to the movement. Generally speaking, it was hard for the down-expelled intellectual youth to live in the remote corner of the country, because the compensation to the their labor was not sufficient, and there was very little chance for them to wash the blood away by taking part in this movement. At last, there was a strong likelihood that the Cultural Revolution performed a function to resolve the crisis of this the down-expelled intellectual youth.
