중국기업의 환경공시에 영향을 주는 요인들

국문 초록

전세계적으로 환경문제가 심각해지면서 환경공시에 대한 관심도 커지고 있다. 환경문제의 해결은 모든 나라의 경제발전에 중요한 전제조건이 되고 있다. 효과적인 환경보호 시스템을 건설하는 것과 더불어 기업내부의 환경정보를 공시하는 것은 환경문제의 해결에 한걸음 다가가는 것이라고할 수 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 중국에서 기업환경회계 공시에 영향을 미치는 요소를 검정하는 것이다. 우리는 상하이 증권거래소에 상장된 857개의 기업 가운데 107개의 표본을 뽑아 분석하였다. 로지스틱 회귀분석 방법으로 실증분석한 결과 환경업적, 환경관심도, 기업나이, 부채비율 그리고 대중관심도 4개의 요소가 기업환경 정보 공시에 영향을 주고 있음을 발견하였다. 그러나 환경위험 노출 변수와 자본수익률 변수는 환경정보공시 요인에 영향을 주지 않았다.

영문 초록

With the rising attention focusing on environmental problems, environmental protection plays a significant role in development of national economy. Establishing an effective environmental management system and disclosing corporate internal environmental information have become an impending task. The motivation of this study is to examine which factors have influenced environmental disclosure. We analyzed 107 sample companies from the 857 companies listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. Using logistic regression estimation technique, we found positive effects that are related to environmental performance, environmental concern, corporate age and visibility. However, we found environmental exposure and return on equity have no impact on environmental disclosure. In addition, we found an unexpected negative relation between environmental disclosure and corporate leverage. This result shows a specific feature of environmental disclosure under the Chinese corporate environment.
