지역주민의 애착도가 관광개발영향인식, 혜택, 지지도에 미치는 영향: 폐특법 대상지인 강원도 남부 지역주민을 대상으로

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 폐광지역개발지원에 관한 특별법이 시행중인 강원도 폐광지역 주민의 지역애착도와 관광개발영향인식, 혜택, 지지도 간의 구조적 관계를 규명하는데 목적이 있다. 이에 따라 대상지역인 정선군, 삼척시, 태백시, 영월군에 거주하는 지역주민을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 선행연구를 바탕으로 설정한 연구모형에 대한 실증분석은 지역 애착도는 관광개발영향인식의 경제적 긍정과 부정, 사회적 긍정, 환경적 긍정에 유의한 영향을 미치고, 사회적 부정과 환경적 부정에는 영향을 미치지 못하였다. 또한, 관광개발영향인식의 경제적 긍정과 환경적 긍정은 혜택에 정(+)의 영향관계가 나타났으나 경제적 부정과 환경적 부정은 부(-)의 영향관계가 나타났다. 그러나 사회적 긍정과 부정은 혜택에 아무런 영향을 미치지 못하였다. 혜택은 지지도에 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 분석결과는 감정적, 기능적 가치 모두는 동기와 만족 간 중요한 매개역할을 하는 것임을 시사해준다. 그리고 폐특법에 의해서 대체산업으로 관광개발이 이루어지는 강원도 남부의 지역주민들은 특히 경제적 영향에 매우 민감하며 관광개발의 긍정적 영향에 대해서만 혜택을 느낀다는 것을 알 수 있으며, 이러한 혜택을 통해서 크게 지지하는 것임을 나타내고 있다. 본 연구의 한계점은 강원도 남부 폐광지역 주민을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였지만, 할당표본을 하지 못하였다. 향후 연구에서는 4개 지역의 할당표본을 통해 지역 간의 차이를 분석하는 것도 의미가 있을 것으로 판단된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to reveal the influence of residents' local attachment that affects recognition, benefits, and support of tourism development explicitly. To achieve this goal, this study sets theoretical basis of local attachments, recognition, benefit, and support with related literature research. With this method, it sets the research models, the hypotheses, and empirical analyses of survey of Kang-won southern local residents of abandoned mine areas. This study sets three hypotheses. First, 'Residents' attachment in abandoned mine areas will make an influence for an recognition of development of tourism.' Second, 'Residents' attachment in abandoned mine areas will make an influence for the benefit of development.' Finally, 'Residents' attachment in abandoned mine areas will make an influence for the support of development.' According to the results of analysis, local residents' 3 kinds of attachments such as identity, dependance, and social familiarity, partly made an influence for positive social and cultural recognition through the hypothesis I. In hypothesis II, and III, the fact that the attachments make an influence for the benefits of development and support, was shown. Through this study, there were different results from other precedent studies for relationships between local attachments and development recognition. This study considered that these differences might be caused by regional speciality that Special Law has been applied on this areas. Therefore, it is necessary to approach relevant social phenomena in order to get more positive recognition of development in the local.
