포은 이적(異蹟)의 서사와 전승

국문 초록

포은의 이적은 출생·순절·혈교읍비, 그리고 사후의 다양한 이적으로 구분할 수 있다. 이 가운데 본고에서는 포은 순절과 혈교읍비 이적의 서사와 전승을 정리하였다. 포은 순절에 관련한 문헌자료를 살피면, 후대의 기록자에 의해 순절 당시의 정황이 점차 구체적으로 서사되고 있다. 역사적 기록에서는 위정자의 시각에서 기록하고 있음이 뚜렷하다. 야사류에서는 포은과 녹사의 충절을 기리는 시각에서 서사하고 있다. 반면 포은의 후손가에 전승되는 자료에서는 조선 개국 세력의 의도적인 숙청사건임을 부각하고 있다. 포은이 순절하던 당시의 정황에서도 기록자의 의도를 가늠할 수 있다. <선생사략>에서는 포은의 죽음을 구차하게 기록하여 순절의 존엄성을 삭감하려는 위정자 시각의 의도가 내포해 있다. 이에 반해, 후대의 기록에서는순절의 존엄성을 부각하고 있다. 포은을 동반한 인물로 녹사의 실체를 거론하며, 그 역시 주군인 포은을 위해 순절하였음을 표출하고 있다. 이덕무의<서해여언>에서는 포은과 녹사가 조영규의 무리에 의해 타살되고, 3일간 효수하였다는 이야기를 기록하였다. 단순한 타살이 아니라 조선개국에 반역한 인물로 각인하려는 위정자들의 행위를 폭로하는 것이다. 이처럼 포은 순절은 기록자의 시각과 의도에 따라 변개되어 나타난다. 포은 순절 이후 조선시대의 많은 문인들이 송도를 탐방하며 선죽교의 혈흔과 읍비에 관심을 기울였다. 혈교읍비의 이적은 기록자나 구비전승자의 감회가 추가될 뿐 서사적 화소의 변이가 없이 전재되는 양상이다. 그리고,서사적 전승보다는 선죽교를 탐방하는 문인들의 시편에서 부단히 전승되고있는 셈이다. <선죽교>라는 시제의 한시가 대부분 그러하다. 일제 침략기의 문인들은 국권이 강탈당한 정황에서 우국의 심정을 담아내는 매체로 선죽교를 부각하였다. 선죽교의 혈흔은 포은의 고려에 대한 충절을 상징하는 실체이며, 읍비는 주군인 포은에 대한 충절을 상징하는 실체이다. 혈흔과 읍비가 충절의 표상으로 선죽교에 실재하고 있는 만큼, 이에 대한 이적은 부단히 전승되어질것이다.

영문 초록

Poeun’mysteries divide into birth, sacrifice, a blood bridge(血橋) and a weep monument(泣碑), and various mysteries of after one’s death. In this paper, it is arranged as Poeun’s sacrifice, and description and tradition of the mysteries of blood bridge and a weep monument. According to the related literature materials of Poeun’s sacrifice, it is narrated more specifically at the time of circumstances of sacrifice by later recorders. It is obvious that it was recorded from administrator’s viewpoint on historical record. In unofficial history, that is narrated from a viewpoint which is to admire loyalty of Poeun and a faithful servant. Whereas, according to the sources which have passed down to descendents of Poeun, it accentuated that event was an intentional purge event which was caused by Joseon’s founding forces. One can make a guess about writer’s intention even at the time of circumstances of sacrifice himself, Poeun. involve an intention of administrator’s viewpoint which try to discredit Poeun’s sacrifice of dignity by recording his death miserably. By contrast, it highlights sacrifice of dignity in later report. Referring a faithful servant’s true nature as being accompanied Poeun, it shows the faithful servant sacrifices himself for his master, Poeun. In the Lee deok moo(李德懋)’s Seo hai yeu un(西海旅言), it was recorded a story that Poeun and his faithful servant were murdered by a bevy of Jo yeong gyu(趙英珪) and they were hanged on gibbet. It is to expose administrator’s deed trying to imprint them as not just a murder but traitors. Poeun’s sacrifice is changed and construed depending on viewpoints and intentions of recorders. After Poeun’s sacrifice, many writers of Chosun Dynasty paid attention a bloodstain and a weep monument of Sunjoogyok making inquiries Song Do(松都). It is an aspect which is merely added emotion of the blood bridge and weep monument’mysteries of recorder and reprinted without mutation of descriptive motif. And, it has passed down ceaselessly on the side of the writer’s poetry than descriptive tradition. A Chinese poem entitled usually do that way. During the Japanese colonial period, the writers highlight Sunjookgyok as a medium which captures patriotism in the context of national rights extortion. A bloodstain of Sunjookgyok is the true nature which symbolizes Poeun’s loyalty to Goryeo(高麗), a weep monument is the true nature which stands for loyalty to Poeun, master. Mysteries of a bloodstain and a weep monument would be passed down ceaselessly because these exist in Sunjookgyok as a symbol of loyalty.
