영문 초록

It has been more than a quarter century since Korean universities introduced modern planning education. However, there have not been serious attempts to review the orientation of planning education at the universities. In this context, this paper attempts to examine the level of students` satisfaction on the current planning education and their expectation from their department, based on a questionnaire survey. Three hundred and fifty or so questionnaires were collected from this survey, conducted on third- and fourth-year students of six different universities. Major results of the survey indicate that the students hope to take more courses related to applications-oriented courses, rather than purely planning-oriented ones. It also finds that the students are seriously concerned about their future, while there are many who have not determined what to do after their graduation.
