서울 지식기반특화산업의 경제적 파급효과 분석 : 서울시 사회계정행렬의 개발과 적용

영문 초록

This paper is concerned with analysis of economy-wide effects of knowledge-based industries of Seoul, using the structural path analysis of Social Accounting Matrix(SAM) of Seoul. The targeted industries are selected in terms of locational specialization, development potential and market demand, and they include communication, real estate and business services, social and personal services, and textile industries. The SAM of Seoul estimated in this paper is composed of 11 accounts such as factor inputs, households, production. Seoul Metropolitan Government, investment, capital, national government, the rest of Korea, the rest of world and others. This study finds out that knowledge-based industries can lead to higher growth of machinery and equipment, electronic and electric equipment, transportation equipment, construction and wholesale and retail trade than any other industries. The investment multiplier of social and personal services on the household income is calibrated as 0.316, which is highest among the knowledge-based industries. The next one is communication (0.233), followed by real estate and business service (0.214) and textile (0.181). Finally, among the targeted industries, increases in the investment volume of the social and personal service sector contribute high urban growth rate as well as amelioration of urban income distribution.
