고전에서 발견한 모범 청렴 공직자 : 성서에서의 세리삭개오 사례를 중심으로

국문 초록

고전은 인생에 큰 의미를 준다. 마치 고전은 우리의 삶에 거울이 되어 통찰력과 이해에 빛을 비추어준다. 이처럼 고전은 다음세대에 이상적이고 바람직한 영적교훈을 제공한다, 따라서 고전은 시공을 초월하여 오늘날에도 우라들에게 갚은 교훈을 보여준다. 세계역사상에 다양한 고전이 있으나 성경은 가장 많이 읽는 최고의 고전이다. 연구자는 고전인 성경에서 이상적인 모범 공직자에 대하여 찾아보고 특히 누가복음 19:1-10에 나오는 삭개오의 사례를 중심으로 그 모범적인 공직자의 모습을 검증 하고자한다. 왜냐하면 삭개오는 다음세대에 귀감이 될 수 있는 모범 공직자의 행태와 특징을 강조하기 때문이다. 이 연구를 위한 방법론은 인류학적인 방법과 사례연구로서 세관장인 삭개오가 어떻게 반부패운동을 전개하였는가를 영적인 반부패 차원에서 다루고 있다. 마지막으로 이 연구를 적용함에 있어서 오늘날의 관점에서 반부패운동의 가능성을 논의하고 있다. 결론적으로 이 연구는 삭개오의 모범적인 사례를 통하여 반부패운동을 적용하고 있다.

영문 초록

Classical literahure implicates meaning for human life. It acts as a mirror into are own lives while shedding light into insights and understanding. As such, classics can provide spiritual lesson for ideal and desirable models in the everyday life for the next generations. Accordingly, it surpasses over borderline of time and space, having showed us significant teachings even today. There are a variety of classics in the history of the world, but most importantly, the Bible is the best and most read. The author turns to this classic, the Bible, to find answers and insights for the 'ideal public servant.' Perhaps, the primary reason for doing so is the lack of models in reality. So, the author of this research focuses on the case of Zacchaeus recorded in the Bible (Luke 19: 1-10) to examine the idealistic public official. In particular, the author analyzes the model case of public official focusing on Zacchaeus with a emphasis on the behavior and characteristics that can be a guide for the next generations. The methodology for this research refers to anthropological approach and case study method, and elaborations how the chief of tax collector has struggled to prevent corruption in terms of a spiritual anti-corruption perspective. Finally, as an application, this research discusses the possibility of anti-corruption strategy and civil movement in terms of today's perspective. In conclusion, this research applies the exemplary case study of Zacchaeus to help fight corruption.
