국문 초록

베르트랑 드 본(Bertran de Born)은 베르나르 드 방타두르(Bernard de Ventadour), 귀 옘 드 카베스탄(Guilhem de Cqbestanh) 등과 함께 대표적인 중세의 트루바두르이다. 트루바두르들이 사랑의 서정시 칸소(Canso) 의 시인들로 유명하다면, 베르트랑 드 본은 그의 정치적 풍자시 시르벤테스(Sirventés) 와 애가 플란(Planh)으로 널리 알려져 있다. 베르트랑 드 본의 생애는 중세의 필사본 샹소나에(Chansonnier)에 실린 그의 비다(Vida) 와 라조(Razo)를 통해 널리 알려졌다. 단테(Dante)가 그의 신곡(Divine Comedy) 의 지옥(Inferno) 편에서 잘린 머리를 들고 소리치는 베르트랑 드 본을 그린 후 서양의 문학사에서 그는 불화와 전쟁의 트루바두르(Troubadour)로 기록되어왔다. 배르트랑 드 본은 실제로 플랑타쥬네(Plantagenȇt) 가문의 아버지와 아들에게 불화를 일으켜 서로 싸우게 하고 전쟁을 미화하였다. 그의 생애에 대한 전기적인 연구들과 양소니에에 그의 생애를 짧게 소개한 비다와 라조에서도 그의 이러한 면모는 충분히 확인 되었다. 그의 라조는 특히 베르트랑의 충성섬과 아라공 왕(King of Aragon) 의 배신을 부각시키고 있다. 라조는 그래서 베르트랑의 시르벤테스와 그의 시들을 이해하는데 큰 도움을 준다. 현대에도 문학비평서가 작품을 이해하는데 도움을 주고 그 작품의 핵심을 파악하게 해주는 것과 같이 라조도 바로 그런 역할을 하고 있는 것을 볼수 있다. 우리는 또한 그의 시르벤테스 <봄>(Le Printemps, Spring)을 통하여 불화와 전쟁의 트루바두르라는 그의 문학적 특징을 잘 확인할 수 있었다. 그의 시르벤테스에서는 남성적 호전성을 예찬하는 기사적 정신과 특유의 미학이 드러났다. 그리고 그뿐만 아니라 그에게서 트루바두르 공통의 서정적 시세계의 특징도 찾을 수 있었다. 그리고 그의 플란 <젊은 왕 헨리의 죽음에 대하여>(Si tuit Ii dol elh plor elh marimen, Sur la mort du jeune roi Henri)가 그의 ‘젊은 왕’ 헨리(Jeune Roi Henry, Henry the young King) 에 대한 충성심과 그의 죽음에 숭고한 슬픔을 표현하고 있는 것과 베르트랑이 기독교적 구원과 천국의 소망으로 슬픔을 이겨내는 것을 볼 수 있었다.

영문 초록

Along with Bernard de Ventadour and Guilhem de Cqbestanh, Bertran de Born is one of the famed troubadours in the medieval France. Usually, the verses of troubadours are well known for amorous Canso, but Bertran de Born's songs are praised for Sirventés, a political and satirical poem, and Planh, a funeral lament. The entire life story of Bertran de Born has revealed through in-depth studies on his vida (a brief biography) and his razo (a prose commentary or introduction of an accompanying poem) attached in a cansonnier, which is the manuscript collection of medieval troubadour poetry. Alighieri Dante has given Bertran de Born a more important position in history. Since the troubadour was represented in Dante's Inferno as a man who is screaming and carrying his decapitated head, he became the exemplary troubadour who celebrates the rift and violence of warfare in European literature. Indeed, Bertran de Born instigated a rift between king Henry Ⅱ of England, also known as Henry Plantagenȇt and his son, the young prince Henry, and he glorified this war in his work. This historical, tragic event is well-preserved in the vidn and razo which is accompanied with his works collected in chansonnier. In his razo, we could find a stark contrast between the troubadour's undivided loyalty to the young king and the treachery of Alphonso, the king of Aragon. Therefore, from his razo, we can glean useful information to understand the troubadour's work. In other words, the razo has a function similar to that of the works of literary criticism, which are useful to modern literary researchers. With a close analysis of Bertran's sirventés
