국문 초록

본 연구에서는 지역별 여행비용접근법과 개인별 여행비용접근법을 비교하였다. 역사로 볼 때는 후자보다 전자가 먼저 개발되었다. 연구과정에서 나타난 차이점은 다음과 같다. ZTCM은 방문자가 평생 동안 몇 번 방문하지 않은 유적지 등의 가치를 추정하데 적당하다. ITCM은 설명변수자체에 대한 설문조사가 필요하므로 방문자의 대부분이 가까운 지역에 거주하면서 자주 방문하는 경우에 적당하다. ZTCM은 단순히 방문자의 거주지위주로 설문조사 되기 때문에 설문조사 비용이 적게 들고, 객관성이 높다 할 수 있다. ITCM은 설문조사에 보다 의존하는 관계로 가치추정의 정확성이 설문답변의 진정성에 의존한다. 본 논문의 실증분석 대상인 남해의 상주 은모래비치의 경제적 가치는 할인율 2%인 경우 ITCM에 의하면 179,095,681만원이고, ZTCM은 그 보다 조금 많은 197,352,988만원이다. 이는 설문조사 기간의 가상 방문자를 ZTCM은 지역의 인구비례로 계산하기 때문인 것으로 판단된다. 어느 방법이 보다비시장재화의 가치를 보다 정확히 계산해주는지는 본 연구만으로 판단할 수 없고 보다 이론적 고찰이 요구된다.

영문 초록

The demand of natural environmental goods has increased rapidly with income growth. Accordingly it is needed to estimate exactly the value of natural environmental resources(NER). A valuing NER uses usually a passive measure methode, as there are not any market prices for these goods. The travel cost model, one of passive measure methods and developed by Hotelling in 1947, has been used in a lot of analysis, but divided in Zonal travel cost model(ZTCM) and Individual travel cost model(ITCM). This work tried to compare two models. The difference, which results from this work, are follows: ZTCM is suitable for estimating value of historic site, which visitors make a trip once or twice for his life time, while ITCM is proper to use for estimating value of parks, where visitors live near and drop by often and employs the zero-truncated Poisson model, considering the non-existent over dispersion in data set. For the empirical comparison, this work estimates the economic value of Sangju Eunmorae Beach. The estimated value of ZTCM is higher then that of ITCM. The reason lies in that ZTCM calculates the potential visitors using a regional proportion of the population.
