창의ㆍ인성교육 강좌가 사범대학생들의 창의성과 인성에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 사범대학의 창의ㆍ인성교육 강좌가 예비교사인 사범대학생들의 창의성과 인성에 미치는 영향을 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위해 서울의 한 사범대학에서 창의ㆍ인성교육 프로그램을 개발해 한 학기 동안 실시하였다. 해당 교과목을 수강한 학생 24명을 실 험집단으로, 같은 사범대학에서 해당 교과목을 수강하지 않은 학생 19명을 비교집단으로 하여 사전-사후검사 비교집단 설계를 적용하였다. 창의성은 한국판 Torrance 창의력 검사와 창의적 동기 및 태도 검사를 이용해 평가하였고, 인성은 대학생 인성검사를 이용해 평가하였다. 그 결과, 창의ㆍ인성교육 강좌를 수강한 실험집단 학생들의 창의성은 비교집단 학생들과 비교해 볼 때 수강 전에 비해 수강 후에 유의미하게 높아졌고, 인성 수준에서는 유의미한 변화가 나타나지 않았다. 따라서 창의성은 한 학기의 단기적 훈련을 통해서도 의미 있게 증진될 수 있었으나 인성 함양을 위해서는 보다 중장기적 교육과 훈련이 필요하다는 결론을 내리게 되었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of creativity and character education curriculum on creativity and character of prospective teachers. The participants of this study were 43 prospective teachers in Seoul. A pretest- posttest control group de sign was used to examine the effect of the 16-week experimental program. Creativity and character of 24 prospective teachers were compared with that of 19 prospective teachers who were not participated in the experimental program. Creativity was evaluated using the Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking(Torrance, 1974) and CMAT (Park, 2004) an d character were assessed by the Character Index In strument for College Students(Lee, Kang & Kim, 20 13). Descriptive statistics and ANCOVAs were used in data analyses. The experimental group show ed significantly and practically higher level of creativity than control group. However, there were no significant differences in character level between two groups. The findings suggest that the creativity and character education program is important and effective to improve creativity for prospective teachers while additional training and support might be needed to promote character level for prospective teachers.
