르네상스 회화에 나타난 식공간 양식의 특성

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 르네상스 회화작품에 표현된 식공간 양식을 연구하여, 당시 식공간 디자인의 특성을 규명하는데 있다. 이를 위해, 르네상스 양식에 관한 문헌적 접근으로, 르네상스 식공간의 전체적 특성을 실내장식, 가구, 오브제로 구분하여 정리하였다. 다음으로, 문헌들과 인터넷으로 검색할 수 있는 미술관들을 통하여 성서의 주제인 가나의 혼인잔치를 다룬 미술작품들 가운데, 향연의 테이블이 묘사된 회화들을 목적 표출하였다. 이론적 고찰 내용을 바탕으로 위의 작품사례들을 실내장식특성, 가구특성, 오브제특성으로 분류하여 분석하였다. 실내장식의 하위 항목은 벽, 바닥, 천장으로, 가구는 가구(의자)형태, 가구(식탁)배치, 과석배치로, 오브제는 식기, 글라스, 커트러리, 린네, 센터피스로 구분되었다. 연구의 결과, 르네상스의 식고간은 실내 공간이나 가구의 장식적인 요소, 테이블 코디네이트의 구성요소, 예법 등의 발달이 이루어지긴 했지만 실질적인 내용물은 중세와 크게 다르지 않았다. 다만, 중세로부터 이어진 빵도마(tranchoir)가 목기, 금.은제 등 식기의 보급으로 차츰 사라졌다. 테이블보는 모든 사례작품에서 나타났는데, 순백의 원단을 기본형으로 끝자락에 술이 달린 형태나 패턴 혹은 장단(長短)에 따른 형태 등의 차이를 발견할 수 있었다. 또 가볍고 질 좋은 무라노 글라스웨어를 사용한 것도 이 시기이며, 두 갈래의 포크와 장식 촛대, 네프(nef)라고 불리는 소금 그릇의 등장도 확인할 수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to figure out the characteristics of the dining space design by researching the style of dining space expressed in the Renaissance paintings. For this purpose, as a paper approach to style of the Renaissance, the overall characteristics of the dining space of the Renaissance were divided and organized as interior decoration, furniture, and objet. Next, the paintings which described banquet table among the art works expressing The Marriage Feast at Cana , which is one of the biblical subjects, from the art museums providing online search were selected as target. Based on theoretical study, the art works above were categorized and analyzed as interior decoration characteristic, furniture characteristic, and objet characteristic. The result of the study shows that the actual contents of interior dining space of the Renaissance are not so much different from those of medieval times, even though the interior space or decorative elements of furniture, constituent elements of table co-ordinate, etiquette were more developed in the period. But the tranchoir which had been inherited from medieval times disappeared little by little by supply of wooden or gold, silver tablewares. The tablecloth was shown in all example works, as pure white material was a basic style with some differences in shape like tassel at the end or pattern or length. The use of light and high quality Murano glassware started at that time, and the appearance of fork with two ends and decorative candlestick, salt bowl called nef was confirmed.
