국문 초록

기존의 호남지역 주거·취락 연구에 있어서 문제점 중 하나는, 지역성을 고려하지 않고 일원적인 접근을 하였다는 점이다. 호남지역은 한국고대사에서 자체적인 고대국가로 성장하지 못하고 백제에 의해 가장 늦게 편입된 주변지역이다. 그만큼 각 지역권별 문화의 특성은 타지방보다 더 늦은 시기까지 지속된다. 삼국시대(4~7세기) 호남지역의 주거와 취락은 전북서부, 전남서부, 전북동부, 전남 동부지역 등 4개 지역권별로 구분되고 계기적인 발전과정이 있었다. 원삼국시대부터 이 미 지역성이 있었고, 삼국시대에 접어들어 백제와 가야세력 등의 외부세력의 진출과 맞물려 호남지역의 주거와 취락양상도 궤를 같이 한다. 단계구분은 3기로 구분된다. Ⅰ기는 재지의 마한주거문화가 지속되는 단계이고, Ⅱ 기는 백제나 가야 문화의 파급으로 마한에서 백제로 전환되는 과도기(간접지배단계) 혹 은 가야연맹권에 포함된 시기이다. 간접지배 혹은 연맹체단계에서는 재지문화가 어느 정도 존속된다. Ⅲ기는 백제의 완전한 직접지배 단계로서 백제계 주거문화가 폭넓게 확산된다.

영문 초록

One problem in the past studies on the dwelling and settlement sites in the Honam Region was unitary approach with no consideration of regionality. In the Korean ancient history, the Honam region did not grow into an ancient country but was incorporated the latest into Baekje among the surrounding regions. Thus, the cultural characteristics of each local area continued until later than other regions. The dwelling and settlement sites in the Honam region during the Three Kingdoms Period was divided into four areas of West Jeonbuk, East Jeonbuk, West Jeonnam and East Jeonnam, and they underwent a development process. They already had regionality in the Proto~Three Kingdoms Period and they showed the same settlement pattern of the Honam region starting from the Three Kingdoms Period along with the advancement of external powers such as Baekje and Gaya. There are three phases : phase I is the continuation of Mahan culture, phase II is the transition period from Mahan to Baekje with the propagation of Baekje culture(indirect domination phase) or inclusion in the Gaya Federation. The native culture subsists to some degree in the indirect domination or federation phase. In Phase III, the Honam region is completely dominated by Baekje.
