국문 초록

루마니아의 여류작가 아나 블란디아나는 1960년대와 70년대 초 순수시와 1970년대 중반과 80년대 초에 환상소설로 독자와 문단에서 호평을 받았다. 1984년 루마니아 문학사에서 최초의 사미즈다트로 루마니아 사회에 큰 반향을 일으켰고, 국외 언론의 1면 기사에 실리며 당시 루마니아 독재정권의 악행과 국민이 처한 상황을 외국에 알리는 매개체 역할을 했다. 그래서 사회주의 정부와 독재 정권하에서 문학적 저항의 상징으로 평가받고 있다. 작가로써 입지를 굳히고 국민(독자)과 소통하는 데에 노력하고자 했던 작가는 1970년대 말 뜻하지 않은 기회에 어린이 동화를 기획한다. 동화는 1980년을 시작으로 1983년과 1988년 총 삼부작으로 제작되었다. 또한 상업적으로 가장 성공한 작품으로 작가가 재정적인 어려움으로 독재 정부와 비밀경찰에 협조하지 않고 작가(지식인)로써의 역할에 충실하고 역량을 펼치도록 기여하였다. 1988년 세 번째 동화를 출판하기 이전에 작가는 1984년의 '󰡔원형경기장󰡕 12월호 사건'으로 인해1985년 한 해 정부로부터 출판금지를 당했다. 글을 쓰고 출판하고 독자와 소통하는 작가에게 출판금지는 생명의 호흡을 끊는 '단절'을 의미한다. 1980년대 초부터 정부가 개인용 타이프와 출판사와 문예지까지 엄격히 감시하고 검열하였다. 그래서 작가는 출판할 기회를 잡기도 어려웠고, 출판하기까지의 과정도 만만치 않았다. 특히 위 사건의 네 편의 시와 비슷한 내용이라면, 사전 검열에서 출판이 취소되었을 것이다. 그러나 작가는 그 단절의 시간을 타의에 의한 고립이나 자의적 현실 도피(逃避)가 아닌 현실 탈피(脫皮)를 위해 준비하는 기회로 삼았다. 그리고 1987년 동화 두 편을 출판한 이온 크레안거 출판사로부터 이듬해에 세 번째 동화 출판 제안을 받고 작가는 독자(국민)와의 '소통'이 얼마나 중요한 것인가를 절감한 후 새로운 방식으로 소통을 시도한다. 그것은 동화라는 문학 매개체를 사용하는 것이다. 그래서 1988년 세 번째 동화 『우리 동네에서일어난 일들』이 출판되고, '『원형경기장』 12월호 사건'을 뛰어넘는 독자(국민)와의 소통을 이루고, 다시 한 번 문학적 저항의 의지를 보여준다. 인터뷰에서 작가가 고백했듯이 위 사건은 작가가 '의도하지 않은 소통'의 결과였다면, 1988년에 출판한 동화는 작가가 '의도한 소통'의 결과물이다. 첫 번째와 두 번째 동화가 자연에서 얻는 기쁨과 생명에 대한 놀라움, 그리고 아기 고양이가 성장해 가는 모습을 표현한 어린이 동화라면 세 번째 동화는 1980년대 후반 루마니아 국민의 일상과 독재정권의 횡포와 그에 저항하지 못하는 안타까움, 그리고 작가의 미래에 대한 소망 등을 사물과 동물을 의인화하여 우화처럼 동화에 담아냈다.

영문 초록

Romanian female writer Ana Blandiana was highly welcomed with her pure poems and fantasy novels between 1960's and 1970's by the readers and the critics. In 1984 with the first 'Samizdat' of the Romanian literature scene, she made the great impact on the society and it was introduced at the front page of news papers of other countries and made the world recognize the sever circumstances of the dictatorship in Romania. So it was appreciated as the symbol of the resistance literature under the social dictatorship. In the late 1970's she planned to make the books for children by chance, while she was making a career as a writer and trying to communicate with the people. These books was a trilogy and published in 1980, 1983 and 1988. It was a commercial success and made her free from the arbitrary dictatorship and security police and made it possible for her to devote herself to the writing. She was ordered not to publish her books by the authorities due to the 'December Issue of Amphitheatre in 1984' before she was to publish her third children's book Occurrences on My Street in 1988. The ban on publishing meant the death-like severance to her, who wanted to communicate with the readers through her works. From the early 1980's the authorities began to censor everything, even the personal typewriters and the literature magazines. She had a hard time to get her books published. These books different from the other four censored poems and managed to pass through the pre-censorships. She rather made it a opportunity to overcome the severe reality and did not surrender to the isolation. In 1987 she realized the communication with the readers after she got the offer to publish her books by the Ion Creanga publishing co., which already published her two books. She tried the new way to communicate with the readers. The new way was the children's book(fairy tale for adults). The third book made it possible for her to communicate with the people efficiently than the 'December Issue of Amphitheatre in 1984' and she continued to resist to the government through her literature. In a interview with her, she confessed that the case of the 'December Issue of Amphitheatre in 1984' was the outcome of 'the unintended communication', but the fairy tale for adults of 1988, Occurrences on My Street was the outcome of 'the intended communication'. The first and the second of trilogy were about the happiness and wonder from the nature and the growth of a cat, but the third one expressed the Romanian people's life under severe dictatorship and the remorse for not being able to resist and the hope for the better future through the personification by the from of the fables.
