국문 초록

1917년 혁명 이후 러시아에는 "현대라는 기선에서 푸시킨을 내던져버린" 자들을 주축으로 레닌주의적인 좌파문화가 득세한다. 하지만 이들의 문화는 다시 사회주의 리얼리즘이 공식적으로 선언된 1934년을 기점으로 급격하고 완전히 소멸되며, 러시아에는 스탈린주의적인 문화현상이 전면에 대두한다. 본 논문에서는 20세기 초 러시아의 급격한 사회변혁이 수반한 두 문화 패러다임의 급격한 생성, 교차, 교체현상에 주목하여, 당시 이러한 사회문화현상을 적극적으로 작품에 투영시킨 알렉산드르 그린의 시학체계를 고찰해보았다. 논문의 2장에서는 1910년부터 1920년대 중후반까지 이어진 혁명적 수평문화와 그 이후 확립된 스탈린주의적 수직문화의 속성을, 논문의 3장과 4장에서는 두 문화의 동적속성과 관계된 그린시학의 이동 모티프를 중심으로 『선홍돛』과 『회색 자동차』를 분석해 보았다.

영문 초록

As discussed by Vladimir Paperny in his work Architecture in the Age of Stalin: Culture Two, Russia in the immediate aftermath of 1917 witnessed two divergent strands of culture, namely 'horizontal culture' and 'vertical culture.' To borrow allegorical and overarching expressions, horizontal culture relates to the cultural policy under Lenin, while vertical culture relates to that of Stalin. In his work, Paperny names the former Culture One and the latter Culture Two, thereby implying the chronological order and cyclical recurrence of the two types of culture. Paperny asserts that, although the two cultures had coexisted since the revolution, Stalin's consolidation of power simultaneously resulted in the rapid transition from Culture One to Culture Two. If Paperny's observations on this cultural transition were mainly grounded upon the architectural aspect, the author of this paper endeavors to examine the subject from the perspective of the issue of cultural acceptance by writers, with particular focus on Alexader Grin and his literary universe.
