국문 초록

본 논문은 시ㆍ서ㆍ화 삼절의 매체적 특성을 바탕으로 미술교육 가능성을 모색해 보는 연구이다. 시, 서, 화에 대한 인식이 싹트기 시작한 초기의 문헌연구를 통하여 매체적 특성을 알아본다. 시와 서, 서와 화, 시와 화의 관계를 살펴봄으로써 각각의 매체성이 대비되어 두드러지게 드러난다. 매체의 기본적인 특성을 밝혀내는 것은 양식이나 표현방법의 답습에서 벗어나 교육목적과 상황에 맞게 매체를 활용할 수 있는 토대가 된다. 시, 서, 화는 상관관계를 통하여 각각의 매체성을 보완하고 배가(倍加) 시키면서, 통합적이고 종합적인 매체적 특성을 지닌 시ㆍ서ㆍ화 삼절이 된다. 삼절이 나타난 작품분석을 통하여 용례를 고찰함으로써 미술교육에서 다양하게 활용할 수 있는 가능성을 모색한다. 작품분석을 통하여 다음과 같은 측면에서 미술교육과 연관성을 찾을 수 있었다. 기억과 기록의 매체, 우의와 서정의 표현 매체, 수양과 인격함양의 매체, 공감과 소통의 매체. 이는 미술교육으로써의 활용가능성과 유의미성을 함께 시사해 준다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore potentials of art education based upon the medium characteristics of 'Samjeol'. To do so, this study firstly examines the medium characteristics of poem, caligraphy, and painting(three elements of 'Samjeol') by reviewing early document researches done in the time when the concept of 'Samjeol' emerged. Those researches reveal and contrast specific features of poem, caligraphy, and painting through exploring relationships among them. Exploring essential features of the medium forms the fundamental basis of utilizing the medium matching specific educational purpose or situation, with overcoming derivative styles and ways of expression. The notion of 'Samjeol' is a harmonized concept that unites, as well as supports, the three elements (poem, caligraphy, and painting) each other. This study explores the possibility of various utilization of 'Samjeol' in art education by analyzing related art works. Through the analysis, I found four aspects of relationship between the characteristics of 'Samjeol' and art education; medium of memory and archiving, medium of metaphor and allegory, medium of meditation and mind cultivation, and medium of sympathy and communication. These four aspects imply potential possibilities and meanings of utilizing 'Samjeol' in art education.
