영문 초록

This is an exploratory study of the uniform of employees in the hospitality industry from the wearer's perspective. This study has been carried out using a survey distributed to the employees of five food service companies. Factor analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis were used for this research. According to the analyses of 156 responses, the employees' perception of uniform is found to consist of four dimensions : service attitude and the look, customer influence, company identification, and the negative look. Assessment of uniform perception from the wearer's perspective could be achieved through the use of the Likert scale in this paper. Also, their satisfaction with the uniform affected attitude toward their job and company. In this causal relationship, the perception of their organizational uniqueness and of job importance worked as mediating variables. Finally, the implications of the result were presented, along with limitations in the research.
