『절화기담(折花奇談)』에 나타나는 환유적 사랑

국문 초록

본고는『절화기담』이 드러내는 사랑의 방식이 환유적임을 증명하고 이것이 전대 전기소설의 문법을 근본적으로 이탈하며 성취한 사랑에 대한 새로운 인식에 기반해 있음을 도출하였다. 그 근저에는 욕망의 순수한 육체성과 육체가 소유한 환유적 직접성과 운동성이 자리잡고 있다. 이는 추상화를 통해 모종의 상징적 의미로 은유 시킬 도리 없는 여성의 존재 위치를 통해 전개된다. 즉, 여주인공 순매가 손쉽게 쟁취될 수 없는 유뷰녀 신분이고, 끝없이 타자들에 의해 만남을 간섭받는 존재라는 현실이 소설의 지평을 환유적 운명에 몰아 넣는다. 환유적 사랑은 마침내 지연되고 미끄러지는 의미의 모호함. 혹은 은유적 의미화에 대한 저항을 유발하게 된다. 이 저항들에 의해『절화기담』은 욕망의 복잡한 실현절차를 거치며 현실적이 된다. 이 현실성은 사랑이 더 이상 허구적 숭고함에 유폐될 수 없는 생생한 현전성으로 변모했음을 의미하기도 한다. 이를 통해 소설의 글쓰기는 매끈한 통합과 유추를 정초하지 못하고 인접 사건들로 산포되며 비화되기만 하는 이완 형식을 소유한다. 이는 소설의 장회화, 또는 장편화에로의 제삼의 통로일 수 있다. 『절화기담』은 궁극적으로 여성의 존재 위상을 수정하고 재편함으로써 문명이 욕망을 전유하는 방식 자체에 의문을 제기한다. 그것은 일부일처제에 기반한 문명의 통합 방식에 대한 재반성의 출발점이 될 것이며, 결국 혼인이라는 은유적 통제 장치에 대한 환유적 위반이 될 것이다. 이 문제의 해결에 따라 소설의 근대적 반성 양상을 탐구하는 연구 절차가 개편될 수도 있게 된다. 이는 본연구가 미해결로 남겨두는 여분의 과제이기도 하다.

영문 초록

This treatise proved that the way of love Julwhagidam(折花奇談) shows is metonymic and it is based on new recognition of love accomplished by the separation from the grammar of east-asian Romance. On the basis of it, there are pure "body" of desire, metonymic directness and mutation which the body have essentially. This is unfolded through topological place of feminine which can not be metaphor as some symbolic meaning by abstraction. As it were, the fact that heroin Sunmae is a married waman can't be possessed easily by other men, and is the one interfered by others put the horizon of novel into metonymic destiny. Metonymic love, at last, incur sliding and delayed ambiguity of meaning or the resistance to the signification of metaphor. By these resistances, Julwhagidam(折花奇談) can be something real passing through complex realizing stages of desire. This reality means also that love is changed into vivid pre´sence can not be confined in fictional sublime any more. By these facts, the writing of novel possesses relaxing form unfolded and leaped into scenes beside not accomplishing clean organization and analogy. This can means the 3rd way that novels were articulated into many sects or made longer in story. Julwhagidam(折花奇談) questions about the way how the civilization controls desire by revising and reforming the topological post of feminine ultimately. It could be the departure of re-reflection on the way of organization of culture based on the monogamy, at last be metonymic violation to metaphor-organizing system of marriage. According to the resolution of this problems, processes of studying reflective modes in modern novels could be reformed.
