국문 초록

본 논문은 18세기 전기 시단의 대표적 작가 신유한과 최성대의 각별한 교유관계와 그들이 공유한 문학적 담론을 검토하여 18세기 지식인의 지성적 면모와 문학에 대한 인식을 살펴보고자 작성되었다. 동일한 문학적 소양과 취향으로 맺어진 청천과 두기의 교유에서 18세기 지식인의 자유의지와 주체성의 자각을 확인할 수 있으며 18세기 지식인의 정신사적 흐름을 발견할 수 있다. 이들이 나눈 문학에 대한 담론은 '진'의 미학, 자국 중심적 문화 의식, 문학 비평을 통해 살펴볼 수 있다. 문학 담론은 사회문화적 맥락 속에서 규명될 수밖에 없다. 眞情과 實狀을 중시하는 미학관은 자문화의 정체성에 대해 인식하고 민족 문화에 대한 가치를 존중하고 옹호하는 문화의식과 긴밀한 관련이 있다. 구체적이고 분석적인 문학 비평은 實事求是를 중시하는 실학적 시대정신과 연관을 맺고 있다. 조선후기를 규정하는 '眞景時代'라는 용어는 조선중화의 문화정신을 자각한 18세기 지식인에 의해 창안될 수 있었다. 우리 문학사에서 18세기는 장르간의 '자리바꿈'과 '넘나듦'이 활발하게 일어나고 문학과 예술 등 전 분야에서 자기 혁신이 진행되며 문화사적 전환의 징후를 뚜렷하게 보이던 시기이다. 이처럼 전환기적 실상을 보이는 18세기의 문화적 특성에 대한 해명은 이후 한결 복잡한 양상으로 전개되는 문학사 나아가 문화사의 흐름을 이해하는 데 주요한 단서를 제공해줄 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This paper examines the friendship and literal discourse between Shin Yuhan(신유한) and Choi Sungdae(최성대). They are representative poet in 18 century. This paper intends to study the intelligence and the literal recognition of the intellectuals in 18 century. In the friendship which is made of literal culture and literal taste of the two poet, we can recognize the free will and individuality. We also find the stream of the mental history of the intellectuals in 18 century. Their literal discourse is consist of the real aesthetics and the native culture view and the literal criticisum. The literal discourse must be examined in the social cultural context. The aesthetic which value much the real mind and the real aspect have a close relationship with the culture consciousness which recognize the identity of the native culture and respect the national culture. The analytic and definite literal criticism have a relation with the practical science. The word, 'The real time' expresses the late Chosun, is made by the intellectuals in 18century who thought Chosun is center of the culture. In 18 century, 'the exchange of the situation' and 'the visit the other side' in the genre are happened very frequently. And in the most literal and art field, the symptom of the cultural change appeared. The explanation of the cultural characteristics in 18 century will give the important key to understand the literal history and cultural history which develop complicatedly.
