국문 초록

본고는 구계 박이화의 「낭호신사」에서 드러나는 작품 세계를 고찰하고 그 의의가 무엇인지 규명하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 「낭호신사」의 전반부에는 박씨 가문이라는 특정 가문의 세거지로서의 인식이 강하게 투영되어 있다. 작품 속의 구림은 함양, 반남, 난포 박씨가 대대로 번영한 곳으로 되어 있으나, 이는 당대의 실제 정황과 일정 거리가 있다. 시적 화자가 유람하는 공간들은 그의 가문과 직접, 간접적으로 관련을 맺고 있어 세거지로서의 인식이 거듭 확인된다. 아울러 비록 현재 시제로 표현되고 있지만, 실상은 과거의 모습으로 시적 화자가 지향하는 바람직한 풍속으로서의 의미를 내포하고 있다. 「낭호신사」의 후반부는 현재 사대부들의 그릇된 처세에 대한 질책과 교훈을 전달하고 있다. 시적 화자는 부정적 예로 자기 자신을 제시함으로써 가문의식의 투영이라는 차원에서 전반부와의 연결점을 마련하고, 후대에 대한 당부도 자연스럽게 이끌어내고 있다. 「낭호신사」에서 가문의식의 소유자인 시적 화자는 선대의 번영을 계승하고 이를 후대까지 계승하고자 한다는 점에서 과거와 미래가 그를 중심으로 연결된다. 과거와 미래가 현재를 중심으로 연결되며, 시적 화자가 이의 매개자가 되는 특성은 그 시간적 구조에서 더욱 잘 드러난다. 이상의 사실들은 「낭호신사」가 선조들의 훌륭한 행적을 상기하고 그릇된 행실에 대한 경계를 통해 자기 가문의 번영과 계승을 도모할 목적으로 지어졌음을 알 수 있게 한다 그리고 이러한 강한 가문 지향적 의식은 18세기 향촌 사대부 가사의 흐름과도 일치하고 있다.

영문 초록

This essay aims to examine the poetic world of Nanghoshinsa(낭호신사) written by Hyangchon Sadaebu(향촌 사대부), Park ewha(박이화) and analyses its meaning. Even though Nanghoshinsa(낭호신사) was introduced in the 1960s, there are a few studies. Furthermore all of these studies have only observed it partly with other works, therefore there have not been any focused studies Nanghoshinsa(낭호신사). Moreover the analytical methodology needs to be reexamined because Nanghoshinsa(낭호신사) bears new interpretations. The first part of Nanghoshinsa(낭호신사) depicted the landscape of Nangho(낭호) and exploration of the poetic narrator. The poetic narrator regarded Nangho(낭호) as his residence from generation to generation. It is resulted from his family consciousness (가문의식). In the second part of Nanghoshinsa(낭호신사) , the poetic narrator was criticizing the present negative situation. His severe criticism focused on one man. Ironically, we find that the man was poetic narrator himself. He tried to dictate children of his family by confessing his bad behaviors. In Nanghoshinsa(낭호신사), the poetic narrator wanted to succeed to his forefather's wealth and to pass it on to future generation. He played a intermediate role between the past and the future. This trait was clearly revealed in poetic temporal formation. In conclusion, Nanghoshinsa(낭호신사) intends to evoke his forefather's prosperities and to hand down them to his future generation. Strong inclination to family consciousness like this shows characteristic of the eighteenth century Hyangchon Sadaebu Gasa(향촌 사대부 가사), Also exemplifying his experience as negative behaviors has hardly been seen in that period's works.
