발해 도성의 생산 및 유통

국문 초록

이 논문은 발해 도성의 생산 및 유통을 검토하기 위해 작성되었다. 고대 도성은 대규모 인구가 밀집한 거대 도시였다. 일반 촌락과 달리 각종 생산과 소비 활동이 왕성하게 이루어졌고, 특히 도성민의 소비를 뒷받침하기 위한 유통과 수공업생산, 특수 서비스업이 발달했다. 이에 본고에서는 발해 도성을 구성하는 생산관련 주요 시설 및 시장 등의 상업시설, 도로 등의 유통망 등 도성의 생산기반을 중점적으로 분석하여 발해 도성의 경제적 성격을 규명하고자 하였다. 먼저 생산시설로는 금속수공업과 요업시설을 검토하였다. 금속수공업관련 시설은 중경ㆍ동경ㆍ상경에, 요업관련 시설은 동경 및 상경 일대에 있었다. 이를 통해 발해의 경제활동은 발해의 토성이나 도성이 물자를 교환하는 시장이자 집약된 자원을 가공하는 생산거점이었고, 이러한 물품의 집산ㆍ가공ㆍ유통에는 재지세력이었던 수령의 역할이 절대적이었던 것임을 알 수 있었다. 다음으로 발해의 유통을 도로와 시장을 통해 살펴보았다. 도성 안의 도로망이 조사된 상경성 유적을 중심으로 검토한 결과, 상경성 안에는 총 11개의 대로가 있었으며 이 가운데 발굴이 된 것은 1호와 8호 도로였음을 확인하였다. 이러한 도성안의 도로는 발해의 대외교통로인 5도와 연계되어 물류의 발달의 토대가 되었다. 마지막으로 시장과 화폐에 대해 살펴보았다. 현재까지 확인된 시장은 상경성안의 西市터이다. 발해의 시장에 대해 자세한 것은 알 수 없으나, 중국이나 일본의 사례를 통해 볼 때 발해의 西市도 담장을 두르고 있고 창고와 점포 등이 있었을 것으로 추정된다. 화폐는 상경성안에서 당 및 일본의 동전이 나와 이에 대한 논의가 있어왔으나, 현재까지는 발해 자체의 화폐주조는 보이지 않으므로 현물화폐의 유통이 활발했을 것으로 생각된다.

영문 초록

This dissertation is consider about the production and distribution in the Balhae Kingdom. The ancient city is a major populated big city. Contrary to popular village, various production and consumption in full work done, and in particular, doseongmin(都城民) and handicraft production and distribution to back the consumption of the special services developed. In this paper, the relevant Major commercial establishments, such as production facilities and markets that make up the Balhae city, focusing on analysis of the city, such as the production-based distribution network of roads was to investigate the nature of the Balhae economic city. First, I considered in their hand and metal production facilities include ceramic facility. The Metals handicraft manufacturing facilities are located in Joonggyeong(中京), Donggyeong(東京), and Sanggyeong(上京). On the other hand, the ceramic industry related facilities located in Donggyeong and Sanggyeong. In Balhae's economic activity, those trade goods were exchanged and processed in Balhae's mud castles and capital cities. It is estimated that Suryeongs, the local powers, must have played absolute roles in gathering, processing, and distributing those goods. Next, I looked the distribution of Balhae through the road and market. Were found in the town, have investigated the road network of city ruins, inside the town, a total of 11 Boulevard is a result of central review of the discoveries that be is among them, and 1 and 8, We identified the road was identified. These inside the capital road becomes the foundation of the development of the Odo(五道), which is linked to help logistics is the basis of the Balhae Kingdom. Finally, I look at the market and currencies. So far, the Seosi(西市) remains of Sanggyeong castle is an only identified market. The details, it is unknown, but China and Japan's example, when viewed through a Seosi of Balhae, fence around you and warehouses and stores, etc., estimated there will be. In Sanggyeong castle, Tang and Japan's coins were excavated. There had been talked about it. But until now, Balhae are thought to have currency in circulation on the active spot because currency of itself is invisible.
