국문 초록

『들불』에 나타난 서발턴의 저항 Ocf상을 고찰해보고자 한다. 이는 탈식민적 측면에서 『들불』을 다시 보고자 함이다. 『들불』에 나타난 서발턴(subaltern)들은 외세와 지배권력에 저항한다. 그리고 이들은 저항을 거둡할수록 주체화되어 간다. 『들불』의 서발턴의 저항은 봉기로 나타난다. 그리고 봉기는 일정한 패러다임을 갖는다. 첫 번째로 봉기의 부정의 대상은 양반과 관료를 중심으로 하는 지배계급과, 일본과 기독교로 대표되는 외세이다. 두 번째로 봉기는 범죄와 구분하기 어려운 모호성을 지닌다. 둘은 동기, 저항 대상, 성격 동에 의해 구분된다. 세 번째로 봉기의 양상은 상의, 계획, 집회, 공격 동으로 진행된다. 『들불』에 형상화된 여진민란, 고부민란, 무장관아습격, 전주성 함락 등 네 봉기 모두 이 같은 양상으로 진행된다. 네 번째로, 봉기의 연대는 모방으로 이루어지는 추상적 연대와 결속으로 이루어지는 구체적 연대가 있다. 다섯 번째로 봉기는 발화된 언설을 중심으로 전파된다. 연설, 소문 동은 대표적인 발화된 언설이라 할 수 있다. 여섯 번째로, 봉기는 영토성을 지니는데 앞의 두 몽기는 지역적 경계를 넘지 못하나, 뒤의 두 봉기는 영토성을 넘어선다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the aspects of resistance of Subaltern in ≪Bush Fire>. In particular, it aims to reinterpret ≪Bush Fire≫ from the perspective of decolonization. Subaltern in ≪Bush Fire≫ resists against the foreign governance and the ruling power. Subaltern became more self-reliable(subjectification) as resistance continued. Subaltern's resistance is expressed by uprising. Uprising is featured with certain kinds of paradigms. First, the uprising is against the ruling power that consists of yangban (aristocrat) and high officials, and the foreign governance represented by Japanese rule and Christianity. Secondly, the uprising has ambiguous features and is hard to differentiate from the crime. However, the uprising is contrasted from crime in terms of motivation, the nature and objects of resistance, characteristics, etc. Thirdly, modality of uprising is evolved from consultation, planning, gathering, raid. Yeojin civil riots, Gobu civil riot, Mujang government building raid, fall of Jeonju fortress are examples of the progress of this modality. Fourthly, solidarity of uprising was divided into abstract alliance which leads to reproduction, and concrete alliance that leads to unity. Fourthly, uprising is propagated by the discourse that was spoken. Speech and hearsay is the representative form of the u따red discourse. Lastly, uprising is characterized with territoriality, and the two former uprisings were limited to geographical boundaries, whereas the two latter was beyond territoriality.
