최송설당 문학에 나타난 자아표출 양상과 의미

영문 초록

Chu Songseoldang (崔松雪堂, 1855-1939) is a woman who lived an very special life in the time of enlightenment. This study examined aspects of self expression in the lyrics of her works to show her literary achievement and the meanings. Songseoldang expressed her emotion in Korean through the lyrics of 49 works. Self expression was examined by showing public self and inner self. The works which showed inner self are about 14, while the roes which do public self-consciousness are forming an ever-greater part of her ones as about 30. This implies that her life's values consider public self as important. The contents of public self could be found that she named 'Songseoldang' to establish her identity and tried to live accordingly Her will to restore her family and her pride after achievement shown in her works can be public self. She also showed her confucian concept by expressing emotion of loyalty, filial duty, and love of the people. On the other hand, the aspect to express inner self which represents loneliness and desire could be found in her works, Some of her works is represented by introspection of her life and loneliness. And there are the works which treated longing and desires for Taoist hermits' world and some showed metonymic expression about marriage. They showed Songseoldang's inner self and human Songseoldang who are different form public self. Especially, the work which public and inner self is shown together attracts attention It could found that she blocked sorrow through the efforts to try to change inner self to public self and did not indulge in self-pity very much.
