국문 초록

본 연구는 슈타이너의 교육사상에 나타난 정신세계의 교육적 의미에 대하여 살펴보고 이를 바탕으로 그가 추구하는 교사상 속에 이것이 어떻게 투영되어 있는가를 알아보기 위하여 실시되었다. 이를 위하여 먼저 슈타이너 교육에서의 육체와 정신, 영혼과 정신, 교육과 정신의 관계에 대하여 살펴보았으며, 이어서 초감각 세계에 대한 개척자로서의 교사, 정신과학에 대한 안내자로서의 교사상에 대하여 탐구함으로써 슈타이너가 강조하였던 정신세계의 교육적 의미를 도출해 보았다. 이러한 연구를 통하여 현대교육에서 강조하는 물질 위주의 교육과 감각 중심의 주지주의 교육이 지니고 있는 한계를 극복하고 전인적 인간을 지향하는 교육에 대한 교육적 단초를 얻을 수 있을 것이며, 물질위주의 현대 교육이 상실해 가고 있는 정신세계의 교육적 의미를 찾게 될 것이다. 아울러 물질적이고 형식적인 교사상에서 탈피하여 감각 저편의 세계까지도 인지하고, 정신과학을 이해할 수 있는 새로운 교사상에 대한 교육적 시사점을 제공해 줄 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The Purpose of this study is to explore the theory of the sprit world in Steiner's(Rudolf Steiner: 1861-1925) theory about teacher. This study begins by researching about the means of spirit world relation to physical world, soul world and education, and how to know the teacher have a higher sense and spiritual science. Steiner thought that human beings are primarily of spiritual nature, and only secondarily of bodily nature. Steiner said that man is a citizen of three world, body, soul, spirit World. And through his body he perceives all about the physical world; through his soul he constructs for him-self his own world; through his spirit a world reveals itself to him that is exalted above both the others. He explains how bodily nature, soul nature and spirit nature complement each other in the process of development in human beings. Like this, he emphasized harmony with the physical world, the soul world, the spirit world in education. So, Steiner's theory of education is not really a science in the strict sense of the physical word, but a philosophy of soul and spirit world applied to education. For as the teacher have to know what is the spiritual world and higher sense are very essential parts in education. Steiner believed that in the materialistic age a new educational understanding of spiritual world was a vital necessity for the future education of human beings. And Steiner thought that the teacher will be a pioneer of the higher sense and guide for the spiritual science. Steiner's theory of teacher is inspired by a belief in the power of the spiritual world in education and many suggestions our educational situation now.
