法救의 『五事毘婆沙論』에 대한 재고찰

국문 초록

본 논문은 법구와 관련된 여러 경과 논서를 중심으로 거기에서 언급되고 있는 법구가 누구이며, 『五事毘婆沙論』의 법구와 어떤 관계가 있는가를 논구하고자 했다. 이에 필자의 연구에 의하면, 『五事毘婆沙論』의 법구는 『雜阿毘曇心論』의 법구와 동일일 가능성은 크다. 즉 사상적 동질성뿐만 아니라, 근견(根見)ㆍ식견(識見)설과 관련한 논의 서술방식은 거의 같다고 할 수 있다. 그러나 『大毘婆沙論』 법구와 『五事毘婆沙論』의 법구가 동일인인가, 아닌가 하는 결론은 지금의 연구만으로는 결론을 내리기 어려웠다. 『大毘婆沙論』에는 적어도 3명의 법구, 즉 유부적 법구와 비유사적 법구 나아가 경량부적 법구로 이해될 수 있는 여지가 많다. 따라서 굳이 사상적 측면만으로 그 유사성을 본다면, 『大毘婆沙論』 유부적 법구가 동일인일 가능성이 크다. 또한 『法句經』의 편찬자와 관련한 『大毘婆沙論』 1권의 내용을 보면, 『大毘婆沙論』 성립 이전의 법구로 판단되므로, 『大毘婆沙論』이나 『五事毘婆沙論』의 법구와는 다소 거리가 있어 보인다. 따라서 『五事毘婆沙論』의 법구는『雜阿毘曇心論』의 법구와 동일인일 가능성이 커지만 『大毘婆沙論』의 법구와는 아직 확정할 만한 근거는 없어 보인다. 그리고 『五事毘婆沙論』의 계통과 성립시기와 관련해 보면, 하촌효조는『大毘婆沙論』 120권 중에 『法救論』 이 있다는 점과 木村泰賢의 설을 근거로 『五事毘婆沙論』이 『大毘婆沙論』 이전에 저작되어졌다고 주장한다. 반면에 渡辺楳雄과 水野弘元, 前田至成등은 이와 반대의 주장을 하고 있다.

영문 초록

This paper is to discuss about who is Dharmatrāta to be being referred there with laying stress on various sūtra and śāstra related Dharmatrāta and about having a certain relation to the Dharmatrāta of Pacavastuka-vibhāṣā. According to my study, the Dharmatrāta of Pacavastuka-vibhāṣā seems to be the possibility of the same as the Dharmatrāta of Saṃyuktābhidharma-hṛdaya-śāstra. As they are able to be almost same not only the homogeneity of thought but also the method of description to be related with the theory of the organ of sight and the consciousness of sihgt. However, It is difficult to conclude whether the Dharmatrāta of Mahā-vibhāṣā and the Dharmatrāta of Pacavastuka-vibhāṣā are the same or not from the present study. As examined at this paper, the Dharmatrāta of Mahā-vibhāṣā is possible to see at least as three people. That is to say, There are a lot of rooms for being able to be understood that they are the Dharmatrāta of Sarvāstivādin, the Dharmatrāta of Dārṣṭāntika and the Dharmatrāta of Sautrāntika. Therefore, if we are to see them in respect of thought, the Dharmatrāta of Sarvāstivādin of Mahā-vibhāṣā may have high possibility to be the same as the Dharmatrāta of Pacavastuka-vibhāṣā. Also, if we seeing the first volume of Mahā-vibhāṣā related with an editor of Dhammapada, It seems to be somewhat difference in both the Dharmatrāta of Mahā-vibhāṣā and Pacavastuka-vibhāṣā. Therefore, although the Dharmatrāta of Pacavastuka-vibhāṣā has a possibility more to be the Dharmatrāta of Saṃyuktābhidharma-hṛdaya-śāstra, It doesn't still seem to be a firm ground that the Dharmatrāta of Pacavastuka-vibhāṣā is the same as the Dharmatrāta of Mahā-vibhāṣā. And as seeing the system and the age of formation of Pacavastuka-vibhāṣā, it Systematically belongs to the Sarvāstivādin of Gandhara but appears to be different in the age of being composed. Especially, though Kawamura Kosho(河村 孝照) argues that Pacavastuka-vibhāṣā has been composed before Mahā-vibhāṣā through being based on existing in Dharmatrāta-śāstra of the 120 volumes of Mahā-vibhāṣā, Watanabe Baiyuu(渡辺 楳雄), Mizuno Kogen(水野 弘元) and Maeda Yoshinari(前田至成) differ from Kawamura Kosho(河村 孝照) on this argument.
