국문 초록

신자유주의 체제는 인간을 상품화폐의 노예로 만들며 탐진치를 끊임없이 확대재생산하고 이를 제한하려는 모든 제도를 규제란 이름으로 무장해제시켜, 양극화와 갈등을 심화하고 세상을 지옥과 가끼운 곳으로 만들었기에 반불교적이다. 이 체제를 노동거부나 소비축소를 통하여 해체할 수 있는데, 전자에 가장 유용한 이론이 맑시즘이라면, 후자는 불교다. 이에 양자를 종합하여 대안을 마련할 수 있으며, 이를 화쟁의 사회경제학으로 명명한다. 우리가 불일불이(不一不二)의 연기론에 따라 타자란 서로 조건이 되고 상호작용하고 있는 또 다른 나라는 것을 깨달으면, 타자를 위하여 나의 욕망을 자발적으로 절제할 수 있다. 화쟁의 사회경제학은 소욕지족(少欲知足)의 삶을 지향하면서 타자들과 제화를 나누면서 공존공영을 추구하는 ‘자비의 경제학’이다. 우리가 연기론과 불살생의 교리에 따라 지구상의 온 생명체가 깊이 연관되고 서로 작용하고 있음을 깨달으면, 자연을 훼손하고 생명을 죽이는 일을 멈추고 자연과 공존을 추구하고 온 생명을 내 몸 같이 귀중하게 여기게 된다. 화쟁의 사회경제학은 인간의 목적에 따라 자연을 개발하여 물질적 생산을 해내고 상품화폐적 가치를 창조하는 현대성의 경제를 반성하고, 자연의 본래 가치를 더 소중하게 여기고 자연의 일부인 인간의 자기실현으로서 노동을 통하여 지속가능한 개발과 가치 창조를 추구하는 ‘생태 경제학’이다. 현재 상황에서 화쟁의 사회경제학을 국가 단위에서 전면적으로 실시하는 일은 힘의 역학관계상 쉽지 않다. 화쟁의 사회경제학은 지역사회를 ‘눈부처-공동체’로 전환하면 가능하다. 눈부처 공동체는 모든 구성원이 개인적 자유와 깨달음을 추구하면서도 타자를 자유롭게 하여 자신의 자유를 완성하는 주체가 되어 서로 상생하고 자연과 공존하는 경제를 추구하는 공동체다.

영문 초록

Neoliberalism promotes low wages and high inequality, and leads to global environmental crisis. Neoliberalism structure increases man’s greed of gain without limitation. Because this structure is oppose to the teachings of Buddha. We cal1 dissolve this structure through worker’s refusal of labour or citizen’s moderation of consumption. Marxism is the most valuable theory while practicing the former : Buddhism for the latter. So, while synthesizing Buddhism and Marxism, I propose to the socioeconomics of Hwajaeng as the alternative for Neo-liberalism. Realizing that all men are in the re lat ion of dependent origination, we come naturally to moderate his desire voluntarily for the other of the ‘we’ as much as parents make great sacrifices for their children. The socioeconomics of Hwajaeng seek after the sharing of wealth. Realizing that all lives are interact with each other, we learn to understand that Nature is not the object of exploitation but the part of coexistence. The socioeconomics of Hwaj aeng pursues the ecologic symbiosis. The power is concentrated in the association of the state and the capital excessively. So, the socioeconomics of Hwajaeng can embody not on a nationwide scale but on a local community scale. In the commune of ‘Buddha-in-eye,’ an individual overcomes the reasoning of self-entity and, at the same time, looks for his shape inside others and others inside himself, lets others become a Buddha through discovering innate Buddha mind inside others, and finally he himself is to become a Buddha through this process. This commune embody the socioeconomics of Hwajaeng which purses a true the sharing of wealth and the ecologic symbiosis.
