초등학교 아동의 심리적 학교폭력에 대한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 최근 사회문제로 이슈화 되고 있는 초등학교 아동의 학교폭력 중에서 점차 그 강도를 더해가고 있는 심리적 폭력에 대한 실태를 파악하려는 것이다. 또한 심리적 학교 폭력현상에 따른 가해 및 피해학생의 폭력유형에는 어떤 요인이 영향을 미치는지, 그에 대한 원인 관계를 세부적인 분석을 통해 알아보고 교육적 관점에서 예방책과 개선 방향을 모색하고자 하였다. 초등학교에서 아동 간 발생되는 심리적 학교폭력의 의미와 가해·피해유형과 원인을 연구하기 위해 선행 연구를 고찰, 조사항목을 결정하였다. 그리고 광주·전남지역에 소재한 9개 초등학교 4, 5, 6학년에 재학 중인 아동 920명을 대상으로 설문지에 의한 조사를 실시하였다. 회수된 설문지 중 한번이라도 학교 내에서 폭력의 가해·피해경험이 있다고 답한 613부에서 불성실하게 답한 45부를 제외한 568부를 자료처리에 사용하였다. 설문지는 가해자·피해자의 심리적 학교폭력유형 6문항, 심리적 학교폭력에 대한 가해 아동의 이유 1문항, 심리적 학교폭력에 대한 피해아동의 인식 1문항, 심리적 학교폭력 중에서 가장 심각하게 인식하는 유형 1문항 등 전체 9문항의 설문을 통해서 가해·피해 원인을 분석하였다. 또한 가해·피해 내용들과 특정 심리적기제가 상관관계가 있는지 가해이유와 피해이유를 독립변인으로, 심리적 학교폭력 6가지 유형을 각각 종속변인으로 구성하여 살펴보았다. 연구결과에 따른 시사점은 초등학교아동의 심리적 학교폭력 유형에 따른 가해·피해의 강도는 생각보다 높게 나타났다. 특히 사이버에 의한 심리적 폭력인 경우 문제는 더욱 심각했다. 현재 학교 폭력의 가해 아동은 물론 피해 아동 대부분이 이러한 행동을 학교폭력으로 인식하지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구는 초등학교아동의 심리적 학교폭력을 예방하기 위한 사전적 지침의 성격으로서 첫째, 가해·피해학생을 비롯한 각계각층의 심리적 학교폭력의 심각성에 대한 올바른 인식의 전환과 둘째, 심리적 학교폭력 예방에 대한 정책적 제언을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims at understanding the real condition, especially on psychological violence which have become more intense among the elementary school violence that came up as a social issue recently. So, this author found a precaution and its improving way in educational standpoint by analyzing specifically the relationship between the violence type the reason of the violence of both the offender and the victim in according with psychological school violence phenomenon. This author, in this article, has considered the precedent study to approaching the meaning of psychological school violence happened between children in an elementary school and the type of violence and the reason, and decided the investigation fields. This article was conducted with targeting 920 children who are 4, 5 and 6 grade of elementary school. Among the 613 questionnaires from who answered that they have ever caused violence or abused by it, only 568 data was used for this article, excepting 45 data which was answered insincerely. This study has been analyzed by the questionnaires that consists of 9 questions, including 6questions for psychological school violence types of the offender and the victim, 1 question for the reason of the offender on psychological school violence, 1 question for the victim’s awareness on psychological school violence and 1 question for the most serious realized type of psychological school violence. Also, to know whether the substance of doing harm and being harmed is related with certain psychological mechanism, the study set the reasons of causing damage and being damaged as independent variables, and set each of 6 types of psychological school violence as dependent variables. According to the results of the study, the implications is that the intensity of doing violence and being damaged is even higher than expected. Especially, for the case of psychological violence in cyberspace, the problem is more serious. Currently, not only the perpertrator children, but also most of the victim children doesn't regard these acts as a school violence. Therefore, as the proactive guidelines, this study suggests the measures for preventing psychological school violence in an elementary school child as follows: first, it needs to change the perception of the offender and victim, including people of all social standings to make them realize the seriousness of psychological school violence. Second, It suggests the political proposal for preventing psychological school violence.
