미술학습 체험의 시간성에 대한 해석학적 이해

국문 초록

미술수업은 교사의 설명에 의한 객관적 지식의 전달이나 원리의 습득보다 학습자의 개별적이고 직접적인 활동이 학습의 중추가 된다. 이 과정에서 학습자의 사고와 신체적 감각과 정서가 어우러 지면서 학습이 이루어진다. 본 연구는 미술학습의 이러한 성격을 ‘체험’으로 규정하여 체험의 의미를 시간의 지평에서 고찰하고자 한다. 체험은 직접적이고 개별적이며 고유한 전체성의 차원에서 지속적인 의미를 산출하는 창조행위이다. 근대의 객관적 시간이해는 시간이 누구에게나 동일한 속도로 균질하게 흐른다고 본다. 그러나 체험의 지평에서 인간이 생생하게 경험하는 의식에서의 시간은 과거와 현재, 미래가 객관적으로 선형적이지 않다. 하이데거는 현존재의 존재의미를 ‘마음씀’(sorge)으로 간주하여 그 존재의미가 시간성임을 해명하였다. 들뢰즈는 베르그송의 지속을 세 겹의 시간으로 이해하여 시간의 반복에 의해 발생하는 차이가 변화를 만드는 생성의 시간임을 주장하였다. 미술학습의 체험은 이러한 존재의 시간성, 반복과 차이의 생성의 시간성으로 주어진다. 존재와 생성의 관점에서 이해된 미술학습의 체험은 학습자의 구체적인 삶이 미술 교육의 중핵임을 드러낸다. 따라서 체험은 미술학습의 존재론적 의미를 담고 있는 학습양식임을 알 수 있다.

영문 초록

In art learning, the pillar of art class is the students’ individual and first-hand activities rather than the teachers’ delivery of objective knowledge and principles. In such a process, the students make inputs with their own thinking, senses, and sentiments, thus contributing to study. This article set out to examine the significance of experiences in the aspect of time by defining those features of art learning as “experiences.” Experiences generate constant meanings in direct, individual, and unique wholeness. In modern days, it is accepted that time flies at the same speed for all people. In the dimension of experiences, however, the timeline of past, present, and future is not objectively linear. Heidegger saw the ontological meaning of current being as “caring” and explained that its ontological meaning is temporal. Deleuze understood the continuity concept by Bergson as three layers of time and argued that differences by repeating time cause changes. Experiences with art learning are given in the temporality of such beings and that of repetitions and differences. Experiences with art learning understood from the perspective of ontology and generation demonstrate that the lives of students are the core of art education, which indicates that Experiences are a learning form containing the ontological meanings of art learning.
