영재교육 담당 교원의 핵심역량에 대한 전문가 집단과 영재교육담당교원 간의 인식 비교

국문 초록

이 연구는 영재교육 담당 교원의 전문성을 구성하는 핵심역량에 대한 영재교육 관련 전문가집단과 영재교육 담당 교원집단간의 인식차를 비교ㆍ분석하고 그 중요도를 평가하여 교육적 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 영재교육 전문가 36명과 영재교육 담당 교원 120명을 대상으로, 문헌연구를 통해 각 학교급별, 영역별 교원의 핵심역량을 탐색하기 위한 연구방법인 전문가의 공통 합의와 조직 구성원의 내재적 특성을 도출하기 위해 설문조사를 수행하였다. 연구결과, 전문가집단 및 교원집단 모두 핵심역량의 대부분 문항에서 중요도에 비해 현 실태가 만족스럽지 못하다고 인식하였고, 지식 및 수행능력영역에서 두 집단 모두 ‘영재 교수ㆍ학습에 대한 이해’의 중요도를 가장 높이 평가하였다. 그리고 태도 및 소양영역에서 전문가집단은 ‘영재성에 대한 긍정적 태도’를, 교원집단은 ‘리더십’을 가장 중요하다고 평가하였다. 마지막으로, 영재교육 담당 교원의 핵심역량에 대한 문항의 상대적 중요도에 대한 다중응답빈도수로 평가한 우선순위에서 두 집단 모두 각 영역별로 1~4순위까지의 선택문항 중 3개 문항이 일치하여, 영재교육 담당 교원의 핵심역량에 대해 두 집단 간 인식 차가 거의 없었다. 따라서 영재교육 담당 교원이 갖춰야 할 핵심역량의 중요도에 비해 미비한 현 실태와의 차이를 좁혀나갈 수 있도록 영재교육 전문가집단으로 구성된 지역별 영재교육 컨설턴트 센터의 운영과 같은 행ㆍ재정적 지원과 영재교육 담당 직무연수에도 반영되어야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to compare and analyze the difference in awareness between professionals(36) and the teachers(120) of the gifted regarding core competence composing professionalism of the teachers of the gifted, evaluate the importance there of, and draw educational its implications. To achieve agreement with professionals and draw the inherent characteristics of the members of the organization which is a research technique to explore the core competence of teachers of each level of school and field through researching literature. As the result, both of the professionals and teachers recognized that the reality was unsatisfactory compared to the importance of core competence, and in the knowledge and performing skills category both groups evaluated the importance of ‘understanding of teachers and education for the gifted’ the highest. And in the attitude and courtesy skills category, the professionals groups assessed ‘positive attitude towards being gifted’ and the teachers group ‘leadership’ as the most important. Lastly, in the priority achieved through frequency of answers on the relative importance on the core competence of teachers of the gifted, both groups selected the same in 3 of the questions that they selected as first to the fourth in each category, showing that there is very little difference between awareness in the two groups regarding the core competence. Consequently, to close the gap between the importance of competence of teachers of the gifted and the reality, there should be administrative and financial support such as operation of a regional education for the gifted consultant center composed of professionals in education for the gifted, and reflected in work training of teachers of the gifted.
