합스부르크 제국과 헝가리의 역사, 문화적 자기 이해

국문 초록

헝가리의 민족 역사와 민족 문화 정체성에 대한 자기 이해를 합스부르크 제국과 연관하여 조사한 본 연구논문은 기 발표 논문인 “합스부르크 제국과 헝가리의 민족 문화 정체성 형성”을 바탕으로 하여 계속 연구된 것이다. 민족과 문화 정체성 형성에 있어서는 “natio Hungarica”와 “magyar nemzet”의 두 용어로 집약하여 연구를 진행되었으며, 헝가리 민족 문화(magyar nemzet)의 자기 이해 연구에 있어서는 “magyar nemzet”가 내포하고 있는 범주와 범위 그리고 특징을 합스부르크 제국과의 상호관계사를 통하여 살펴보았다. 우선적으로 1848/49년의 독립전쟁 좌절에 따른 민족 정체성과 민족 문화의 핵과 상징의 변화에 관해 조사되었으며, 이후 “오스트리아-헝가리 왕국”이라는 이중왕국의 틀속에서 그것이 어떻게 해석되고 이해되는 지를 연구하였고, 제1차 세계대전의 결과 맺어진 “트리아농 조약”에 따른 정체성의 혼돈과 축소변화에 대한 조사를 진행하였다. 19세기말부터 20세기 초까지의 시기별 역사 속에서 민족 정체성과 민족적 상징의 변화가 20세기 중반 이후 즉 현재에는 어떻게 이해되고 평가되고 있는지를, 본인의 발표논문 “현재 헝가리인들의 민족적 자의식 분석연구”과 함께 합스부르크 제국과 현재의 오스트리아와 연관지어 연구하였다.

영문 초록

This paper deals with the hungarian self-consciousness of national history and cultural identity in relation to the Habsburg empire, as a continuous research of the article, “The Habsburg empire and the establishment of the Hungarians’ national, cultural identity”, that has been already presented. The research has been processed by the two terms of “natio Hungarica” and “magyar nemzet” from the viewpoints of the establishment of national and cultural identity. In regard to hungarian self-consciousness of national culture, the characteristic involved in the category of “magyar nemzet” has been examined through the history of mutual connection with the Habsburg empire on the other hand. First of all, the quests for the changes of the core and symbols of national culture and identity after fail of Independence War of 1848/1849 have been committed. The studies of the way in which how those things were interpreted and understood in the frame of “Austria-Hungary dual monarchy” have come next. Finally, I have researched the identical chaos that arose from the unhappy results of “Trianon Treaty”. This paper focuses on the standpoints of accepting the identical, symbolic changes at the turn of the century and in the early years of the twentieth century, under the socialist regimes in mid twentieth and the democratic governments after 1989’s Transition (:rendszerváltás), based on the pre-released article, “A study on the national consciousness of the current Hungarians”, in relation to the Habsburg empire and modern Austria.
