합스부르크 제국과 친오스트리아슬라브주의(Austroslavism)

국문 초록

다민족, 다언어 제국이었던 합스부르크 제국은 ‘통합속의 다양함’의 원칙으로 제국 내 민족 간의 평화로운 공존을 도모했었다. 19세기말 민족주의의 영향으로 인해 합스부르크 제국이 해체될 수도 있다는 위기감 속에 슬라브 지식인들은 합스부르크 제국의 존립을 전제로 슬라브 민족의 정치적 자율성과 평등성을 추구하고자 했다. 슬라브 민족회의를 주도하였던 팔라츠키(František Palacký)에 의해 주도된 ‘친오스트리아슬라브주의(Austroslawismus)’는 다민족국가의 평화로운 공존을 위한 정치적 이데올로기였으며, 합스부르크 제국을 중심으로 하는 슬라브 민족의 통합과 발전을 모색하였다. 이들은 제국의 정치체제를 모든 민족 집단의 독자성과 평등성이 보장되는 연방체제로 전환할 것을 요구하였고 이를 통해 외부의 민족주의 영향으로부터 제국을 지킬 수 있다고 보았다. 독일계 역사학자들에게 범슬라브주의에 기반을 둔 슬라브 민족주의 운동으로 평가받는 친오스트리아슬라브주의는 범슬라브주의와는 명확히 구별되는 특징을 지니고 있다. 친오스트리아슬라브주의는 제국과 오스트리아를 중심으로 두는 슬라브 민족주의며 범슬라브주의의 위협으로부터 자신들을 지키고자 하는 대응이데올로기 이기도하다. 친오스트리아슬라브주의는 또한 합스부르크제국의 다수 민족이었던 슬라브 민족의 자리매김과 합스부르크제국의 정체성에 관한 논의였다. 이 연구는 친오스트리아슬라브주의의 개념과 전개를 분석하고 이 정치적 사상의 핵심이었던 합스부르크제국의 정체성 문제를 분석하였다.

영문 초록

Habsburg Empire, was multiethnic and multilingual, promoted the peaceful coexistence of inter-ethnic as a rule of ‘Diversity in the Unification’. At the end of the 19th century, in the crisis that Habsburg Empire might has dismantled by nationalism the intellects of Slav pursued political autonomy and equal, which based upon the premise that existence of Habsburg Empire. Austroslavism, was led by František Palacký who led the Slavic National Congress, was political ideology for peaceful coexistence of multiracial nation and they tried to combine and develop the Slaves with Habsburg Empire. They demanded that switchover the political institution of Empire to federalism under guarantee of identity and equality of all national group, this could protect Empire from outside influence of nationalism. The Austroslavism, assessed by German-historians as movement of slavic nationalism based Pan-Slavism, has characteristic in distinction to Pan-Slavism clearly. Austroslavism was slav nationalism focused on the Empire and Austria as well as they were Gegenideologie to protect from menace of Pan-slavism. Also Austroslavism was discussion around identity of Habsburg and positioning of Slaves who national majority of Habsburg. This studies is analyzed that concept and progress of Austroslavism also problem with identity of Habsburg Empire which was core of this political ideas.
